I use it in my well to protect pipes from freezing. I plug in the heater and it turns on before it freezes to protect my fountain.

I received the thermal cube in a small plastic bag, the ground pin was broken. The picture does not correspond at all to the product I received. Not a happy customer. Buyer warning!

This would be a great way to control block heaters on my truck engines. If only they would work. Operation was unstable. It was off when it should be on. I bought two of these that are rated for different temperature ranges. The second one I got, which was designed to switch on and off in a lower temperature range, didn't work at all. I cannot recommend them.

It does what it says it will turn on the power within 1 degree of the set temperature, but it's cheap. This is the second one I've bought and both had grounding issues. Although I gently pulled it out after checking that it was working properly at the correct temperature, the bottom became loose and visibly wobbly. I won't buy it again although I like the idea. It is too expensive for an application. If you plug it in and never unplug it, it might work for you.
