Not the motor shown in the photo

Wrong motor in the photo. This is a fake made in Vietnam and is not CSA rated as shown in the picture giving it a completely false reputation. CSA, as the image suggests, means it's an industry-certified part that has already passed rigorous safety and performance tests. This is a UL recognized component which means next to nothing - there is no safety certification for this product.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Relatively easy to replace

My original engine was starting to fail. As a simple mechanic, I was able to easily disassemble the fan assembly and replace the motor. I could buy and replace the entire pre-assembled fan housing (with motor) for a lot of money, but replacing just the motor was almost as easy for half the price. This motor makes slightly less noise than the original. If you find this review helpful, please let me know by clicking the helpful button below. I also welcome relevant comments.

Perfect Fit - Fan Motors

My QT-110 fan motor got very noisy. But since the fan is over 15 years old, I can't complain. I was very happy to find a replacement motor myself and save the expense of replacing the entire fan. I reused the squirrel cage, fasteners and insulator (check yours first, if its bad get the whole block with the cage, fasteners and insulator). All I had to do was put a 1/4" thick nylon washer between the motor and fan to keep the back of the fan from touching the mounting nuts. This replacement is…

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
