It's good that there's a cover, but there's nothing to prevent it from falling off.

The lid works well when it's closed, but when you open it there's no stopper to keep it from falling off. It rests on a fat tray that folds down the tray. Poor design but I'll look into it because as I said it's nice to be able to cover the food.

Terribly wrong product

It's terrible. Not only does it not fit over the pan, but you CANNOT hang it from the back of the pan with the drip tray in place. Absolutely worst technique. It's not on the grill at all. someone mismeasured the top of the pan. And then it doesn't hang on hooks across the back of the pan. Why is there a catch at all? It's totally useless. Do not buy

Forgot screws!

Like the product, very durable. There are no screws to attach the top handles to the lid. Went to the local hardware store for a replacement so I didn't have to deal with returns. TO UPDATE! Get the screws and put on the knobs. The cost was less than a dollar. Then I spotted what appeared to be scratches that looked like they were covered in black magic pen. So I had to deduct another star for you. Added pictures.

Product and Customer Service

Amazing Product! I bought this as it is heavier and it did not disappoint. The wind won't blow this bad boy away. Has hooks so it can be hung from the back (similar to a wind/splash screen) with the grease tray still attached. There was a small blemish on one of the handles which was emailed to customer service. VERY RESPONSIBLE. Went above and beyond to get it right. I would order from this seller again knowing they would support their product.

borderline dysfunction. Bad design

You need to change this for it to work. The hood doesn't have a "stopper" (chain or whatever) to hold it down, so it leans WAY too far back and still doesn't make a full 180 degrees to stop on the counter behind. This means you have to reach for a hot pan to open or close it. Not perfect. Because of this, when the hood is fully open, the pan is unbalanced and the pan may tip backwards. I'll have to do some sort of mod for this, like drill holes in it and attach a chain on each side, or put some
