As many have mentioned, the tail on this collar is too long when attached and sticks out. It seems to be of good quality in terms of durability. However, it remained a mystery as to why my cats' water kept turning blue. I thought someone put something in there. After a few weeks of replacing and after 2 days it turned blue again I finally noticed that this collar was washing the color out. I hope this dye is non-toxic. Watch out for patches of color due to the uncomfortably long, sticking tail.

My cats have only had collars for a week or two but I took one off and saw that where the collar was removed was just fur! I thought maybe she just had sensitive skin so I went to check on my other cat and he also went bald where the collar was. The collars were tight enough that they didn't come off my head, but were loose enough that I could slip a couple of fingers into the gap between the collar and my cat. Don't buy this if you don't want your calls to go bare.

I was very happy when it arrived and fit my cat. He's a cross between a red tabby and a Van, so his size is awkward (big but muscular cat). He is approximately 12 pounds and 15 inches tall when seated. Its neck is about 7.5 inches in circumference, so due to the thickness of its fur, it's generally difficult to find a collar that's snug enough that it doesn't restrict its movement and ability to breathe. These collars just got here and I'm very happy with them. They are made from durable leather material and will most likely be the last collars I have to buy for my cats. Cloth collars wear out because cats scratch their necks and cling to the material. I bought pink, black and purple. The colors are great. deep and rich. The only downside to the collars is that on the pink collar the loop for holding the strap left over from the buckle is too small to fit all the way through. Only the tip fits.

So glad I found this! Our cat Bagheera is just over a year old and does NOT like collars. She scratched/ruined her old buckled collar and ripped off the new chipped paint. So I'm pleasantly surprised that she doesn't mind this collar and wears it with no problem!
