Description of 👟 Brooks Launch 6 Men's Running Shoe

Rubber sole. SHOE SIZE: "D" = Medium width. THIS SHOE IS FOR: This is a great option for neutral, efficient runners who don’t like a super soft shoe. It has just-right spring and is light enough to be a race shoe for longer distances like the marathon. ENERGIZED FEEL: Delivers a responsive and springy ride to add extra lift to your stride without compromising support or speed. SPRINGY CUSHIONING: BioMoGo DNA midsole cushioning and rebounding rubber create a springy feel underfoot. LIGHTWEIGHT FIT: The one-piece mesh upper and internal bootie are so light and breezy, they feel like they’re not even there.

Great shoe that got me faster

This shoe is the first Brooks product I've tried (always used ASICS in the past). I've only ridden them about 10 miles so far and I find the fit and comfort to be very good. This is the lightest shoe I've ever run in and I think it really makes a difference. All summer I tried to shave a mile or two off the time with little improvement. With this shoe I suddenly cut 12 and 25 seconds. Maybe it was just the cooler weather, but I think it was the shoes.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Safety

GOOD SHOES BUT VERY PACKAGED AND SOMEONE COULD HAVE RETURNED ITEM

Great pair of shoes but I was disappointed with the packaging. The shoes came in a regular box. It was printed on the inside lid of the box. "This item has been repackaged because the original packaging was damaged in transit." The shoes appeared to be returned goods, judging by the lacing pattern of the two shoes, which did not match the manufacturer's traditional lacing pattern. I rate the shoes a 5 but the packaging is very weak a 2.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

Pretty good best in shoes

I've been wearing Brooks for a few years due to back and knee issues, usually glycerine. I wanted to try these because they are less expensive. Also because the current glycerin options were quite ugly to be honest, but these (blue and yellow ones) weren't. To each his own, it's subjective. The Launch shoes are noticeably stiffer than the Glycerin line, which was a good thing at first. But when I wear them I can definitely tell a difference, especially in the lower back. Not much pillow which…

Disappointed: Gentlemen

Bought these for my grandson for Christmas. He wears these shoes for everyday use, to walk the dog or go shopping. They are already showing significant wear on the tread, toe and sides which I think is unusual considering how long they have been worn and only been in use for a little over 3 months. He said that although he always wears a normal width, these shoes had to be stretched to fit his foot and the toe box was also narrower than normal. Luckily I had a shoe stretcher and used it for a…

Non neutral shoes shoe

I run about 20+ miles a week and my Ghost 11s have over 500 miles on them (each pair) so I figured I'd buy new shoes similar to the Ghost 11 I use tried the Ghost 12 in store and they didn't fit me so decided to try the Launch 6 as it was recommended as similar to the Ghost 11 and advertised as a neutral running shoe. It doesn't feel neutral because certain parts of the sole press against your foot as you run. What I learned after running is that the cushion is made with a different technology…

Easily the best running show I've ever had

I'm 43 years old and started walking about 4 months ago to get better (I've also changed my diet a lot). After about 3 weeks of running, I decided to start running on the treadmill during my lunch break. It soon became slow (very slow) to walk on a treadmill. About a month ago I got to the point where I was running 5k or more on my lunch break and decided it was time to upgrade my running shoes. I spoke to a runner I know and he recommended Brooks and that I would go to the store to try them…
