Overpriced Blocked UV-82

The device is nothing but a UV-82 tied to GMRS channels. You get 22 GMRS channels and some repeater channels. So far so good, right? However, if you have two repeaters using a specific frequency but different CTCSS codes, you cannot add a second repeater. Only one repeater is allowed on this frequency. Each channel you add is for receiving only. So if you need another GMRS channel with different CTCSS codes, no, only one is allowed. For the same money you can buy three Baofeng UV-82 and program

Great radio - CB and two way radios

I love this radio for GMRs. I love the scan feature. The reception range is excellent, I caught all my local repeaters, including amateur radio repeaters. Easy programming without a programming cable. If you try to program weather stations into your memory or monitor certain frequencies when you press the menu button to make your selection, make sure it is not accepted or not stored in memory. The radio doesn't remember if it's receiving, so simply unscrew the antenna while on your frequencyโ€ฆ

GMRS network users, suitable for portable audio and video equipment

I bought a license for GMRS and 2. I wrote a review but am editing it now. I thought the FCC revoked certification for these radios, but I'm wrong. I will add a review after use. They appear to be of good quality out of the box. Update 2/2017: We used these radios in a licensed gmrs network with a repeater, mobile phones and these handhelds. Worked great. Excellent distance and quality. No crashes or problems. It's very nice to have a part 95 approved radio on my network. The battery life isโ€ฆ

This is not your discount store. FRS/GMRS Radio

This radio can be simple or more complex to use; it just depends on how far you want to delve into its capabilities. We enjoyed using them when hunting in the high desert. Reception and transmission were excellent; It's easy to triple the radios we've used before. We tried at least six different models of FRS/GMRS radios in the same area and they were all disappointing. Botan was able to set up his own amateur repeater on this trip. The ability to connect and use the listed repeaters greatlyโ€ฆ

Amazing GMRS radios for the price!

I'm a licensed ham radio operator with a GMRS license and these little radios are amazing for GMRS use! They easily outperform the GMRS/FRS radios you sell in stores. Build quality is good, battery life has been great so far, and setup and ease of use are great. It comes with all GMRS channels and has a really good range, especially in high power mode. On one of my two radios, the hole for the belt clip is drilled a little crooked, but it still fits very securely and I don't mind at all. I also

Great communication tool

Radio works great. I used it on a simplex with PL tone for communication during an event this summer. The tone was perfect. The radio is faster for communication than texting or calling because it takes longer to type a message or it takes longer for the carrier to make a call. I used a common frequency to contact someone using an FRS radio because she does not have a GMRS license and is not a next of kin. This makes this radio more versatile. I also programmed three local repeaters (some ofโ€ฆ
