The saw blades broke immediately. I was on the boat for 3 days setting up my bars when the blade broke off. It looks like this is probably an isolated case, but disappointing. The ring on the handle also occasionally flew off the leash like a design flaw. Rubber grips are good though (must end on a positive note)

Anyone can make tongs that will work great on the pier or in your garage. on your hip. The only thing I changed was that I put a small key ring on the strap instead of the triangular thing that came with it. It's easier to put on and take off and I think it's safer.

The lanyard is secured with a wire triangle, not a split ring like most pliers. It is not safe at all and broke down on my second day of use. Luckily the holder was well designed so I didn't lose my pliers. I decided to use this holder with an old, different brand of pliers that fit the holder securely. I think I just bought a very expensive holder.

This is the worst product Bubba makes in my opinion. I have several knives and I love love them. That sucks. You don't cut wire, mono or braid, well. You can see through the incisors if you hold them up to the light. Even with light use, the "nose end" of the pliers would come loose and not straighten out. Just a big disappointment from a great company. They really need to be repaired or withdrawn from sale!

I have a second set of these, the first set had misaligned jaws so I didn't grip properly, I noticed the second set jaws weren't much better To be honest to be, they are comfortable to hold and the cutter cuts the braid easily. The sheath is good but if you don't have a belt to go through the loop it will be in your pocket I would prefer a belt clip. I'll see how they hold up, but I'm not expecting big things.

I BOUGHT A SET OF SQUARE A FEW MONTHS AGO AND MAYBE USED THEM SEVERAL TIMES TO REMOVE SHARK AND RED HOOKS. Last night I removed the hook from the black tip and the pliers just broke. I'VE USED SEVERAL DIFFERENT CHEAPER PLIERS THAT ALWAYS FAILED SO I THOUGHT I WILL SPEND SOME MORE AND GET SOME GOOD THINGS. OK, THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I have 2 BUBBA blades and have had no problems with them but these pliers are a joke!

These pliers feel great in the hand thanks to the signature handle that made us all love the Bubba blade came out. The line cutter works well with braid, which is great. The only downside is that they are not very durable. I tried a bit to get the hook out of the big Amberjack and after finally getting the round hook out of my mouth the pliers were bent/broken. Definitely disappointing in this price range.

1 star because of the great grips, everything else is not as advertised there. The jaws never closed completely, so nothing could be caught with the tip of the needle nose. The cutters stopped working over time and there is no wrench for them. I contacted Bubba and they sent me new bits and an Allen key. That does not fit. I couldn't take them off and I have a whole garage full of tools. The jaws buckled as the last straw was pulled from the hook. Never again. Good knives, bad pliers.

I have a Bubba blade and an electric knife. Both are great! I can't say that about Bubba Pliers. The decision to buy Bubba pliers came as an excuse when the edge of my Penn pliers just dulled. For $7 or less I could replace the wire cutters with a Penn. but. Well I found a reason to spend $50 on another Bubba product! Bubba tongs arrived in real Bubba packaging. It looked great!
