22 pockets plus 3 extra pockets under the velcro flap. Its central elastic is sewn in the middle of the roll, it has holes through which tools can be threaded. Some of them don't fit the pockets perfectly and it's quite disappointing, but other than that they do what I need.

A good tool set is best kept in tool bags

It is large and has many tool slots. Some more than others. I use mine for my art supplies. Holds all my pens and pencils as well as all other items (sharpeners, erasers). It has three separate pockets on one side that close with Velcro. I didn't like the extra straps hanging around all over the place after closing the roll. I ended up pinning them which solved the problem. Now I can organize all my art tools by size and shade. No more guessing what pens I have. Big plastic bag upgrade.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Perfectly dimensioned BMW R1200RT tool box.

I just received this tool kit for my BMW R1200RT. I wanted to buy a tool box with a full tool setup, but it was very expensive and not as complete as something I could have put together myself for significantly less. As you can see from the photo, it holds a TON of stuff and wraps up pretty small. Of course it doesn't fit under my seat, but since my bike has permanent luggage, I just stow it in it. The knife serves as a size example. This is a 4 inch knife. Very big and durable. Buy it!

Good canvas material, seams look distressed

Holds tools and utensils well. The canvas feels sturdy and the plastic clips are comfortable, but time will tell how long they last. It might be better to omit the plastic clips and just ask the user to tie the reel as the straps seem strong. Although now it's good and you can pull the straps to tighten the reel. That worries me. If I overtighten something may break. Nothing falls out by tightening the roll with the bands. The seams look like a seamstress in a hurry to work, not very…

Think function over form

Bought to hold a set of 20 GearWrench ratchets I received for Christmas a year ago. Love the adjustable straps, I only use this reel for these keys so it's quite compact and tightening the straps makes it nice and snug. The pockets are fairly evenly distributed which is very suitable for my use, several small wrenches are in one pocket. The rubber in the middle seemed to hit the target. Some of the smallest loops fit the largest pockets, which doesn't work as well with larger keys (e.g. 17mm)…

Cool Tool Roll - Hand & Power Tools

I recently bought a "new to me" truck. Decided to get rid of the huge tool box I had in the back of my old truck. So I had to reduce the number of tools I keep in the cab. This little guy is exactly what I was looking for. The device is great for holding longer tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, and vices. The center strap keeps everything in place. Three small pockets under the flaps with Velcro are suitable for sockets and small items such as a probe, pressure gauge and the like. Made me…

Organization is key. Quality and cost are big considerations.

This tool roll is fantastic! I bought a second roll because I am so happy with the first one. Very durable with practical pockets/elastic loops. I have pliers, adjustable wrenches, screwdrivers, a flashlight, knife, 110v test lamp, etc. that do 90% of the DIY jobs on the first reel, with more specialized tools on the second reel. I'm so tired of going through my bag for tools. These tool rolls offer organization, convenience and a compact size. I should have bought them ten years ago. Compared…

Thin material negates the benefits of a great design

I have purchased other Bucket Boss products in the past and have been very happy with them. That's why I tried this product. Unfortunately, the build quality of this tool chest wasn't as solid as previous Bucket Boss tool bags I've had. The canvas is very thin and the roll itself is thin. During filling and folding, the tool roll bends in the middle with considerable play. I was hoping for a sturdier roll that would hold its shape like the Ergodyne Arsenal® 5870 Tool Roll-Up or the Custom…
