NOT FOR TRAILS: my feedback

I got a set of these for a 29er build i was doing. Here is my takeaway from using these for just over a year .first thing i noticed was the rebound adjustment doesnt work at all, i paid hundred bucks .i knew what i was getting into.whateversecond thing that stood out is there is a good amount of side to side play in the stanchions (in a track stand its super apparent)thats really it as far as things that stood out . Now having said that i have beat these things like they are antivax for a year…

Pros
  • great
Cons
  • May require special skills to maintain

Much better than the factory coil spring

I think it is much better and lighter than the factory SR Suntour coil spring forks that came with our bikes. I got this one for my 13 years old son. I am also thinking on buying more for the rest of the family. But will wait a few months more just to be sure.I am not a fan of the orange color and the gray stickers, but my kid likes it.

Pros
  • Ultralight construction won't weigh you down, even on extended excursions
Cons
  • May not be suitable for very experienced riders

Poor quality fork: my feedback

I I bought this fork after watching all the videos on this fork and some reviews. Installation was pretty good the product looked pretty good but after just riding my bike not even in the park just on the street this fork was acting up. It got stuck and would not work. I would definitely not recommend this fork. Spend 50-80 more and suntour or manitou. This is now going back.

Pros
  • decent forks for the money. definite upgrade from box store forks.
Cons
  • The adjuster on the top broke after not even a day

Good Budget Fork best in my review

I tried this fork (120mm tapered, I removed the remote lockout) on my 29er hardtail and it really worked well on a beginner to intermediate trail. It felt solid, controlled and smooth. For the price it seems like a good buy but only time will tell if it is durable. Parts are probably going to be hard to find but a standard 32mm wiper maintenance kit should fit. Four stars since durability, customer support and part availability could be an issue.

Pros
  • Constructed from durable materials that can withstand tough conditions
Cons
  • May not be suitable for riders who prefer a rigid setup

Internal bushings fail quickly

This fork was ridden lightly for around 6 months. Wipers/seals were always kept clean and free of dirt. One day I noticed the coating being rubbed off the lower front part of the stanchion leg. Concerned, I removed the lower legs to find that the internal bushings are nothing more than cheap plastic. Over time they started to deform and ruin the stanchion which in turn ruins the ability of the wiper/seal to keep dirt out. Kicking myself for not paying a little more for a name brand which has…

Pros
  • Ideal for cross-country and all-mountain riding, with plenty of shock absorption and stability
Cons
  • May not be suitable for novice riders

ABSOLUTE JUNK! good for me

Not good for any type of real mountain biking. We are from FL so it’s not like we are doing anything crazy. Got this for my wife’s GT laguna pro thinking it would be a nice upgrade. Boy was I wrong, it maybe lasted a few rides before the manual lockout stopped working and fluid started leaking heavily out of the rebound knob (which I don’t think even worked to begin with). I’ll never buy anything from this company again. Too bad the return window has already passed, what a joke.

Pros
  • A huge upgrade from the stock fork, recommended
Cons
  • Can be difficult to adjust travel length

So far so good good for me

I like these so far. Like the feel of the air suspension. Only have 50 commuter miles. Feel nice and light. Look real good. Like better than the stock Suntours that came on my Giant 29er. Time will tell on how they hold up. Would give five stars if there was some instructions. Not sure what pressures to use or even what the red knob at the bottom is for. Lots of trial and error setting up.

Pros
  • Customizable settings allow for personalized suspension preferences
Cons
  • May not be suitable for riders with high expectations

Fork is great quality but.

.I was double charged for the item what should've been 136 was 272 and I couldn't do anything to fix it or get my money bac Requires frequent maintenance.

Pros
  • Liked that 26" front suspension forks still exist!! Replacement parts for older forks do not exist.
Cons
  • Requires frequent maintenance

Very light weight lost over 2.5 lbs

The price is right did not want to spend over 200 bucks works just as good as my rockshock Reba on my Trek bike That's my review.

Pros
  • Lots of features for the price, lightweight, and seemed to be well made.
Cons
  • Too lightweight for some riders' preferences

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Ignore the good reviews. This thing is garbage.

It honestly takes about 15lbs of force to break the stiction and then the fork is soooo overly damped feeling that it feels like the damper is full of actual bread dough. Absolute and total junk. Spend $130 more and get a Rockshox Recon.

Pros
  • My bike went from 32 pounds to 28!! And is more capa le now.Really love this fork.. 😎
Cons
  • May not provide enough cushion for very rough terrain

Not really worth the time installing and lock out is a joke!

I was excited thinking I could replace my spring forks with these and ride more comfortably but not really the case as they are only slightly better and very dissatisfied with lock out and remote basically doesn't even work.

Pros
  • Long-lasting components offer good value for money and long-term savings
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable for some riders

Not happy. best in my review

Lockout started sticking. Not what I expect from a brand new set of forks. Hit the release lever and it snaps back but the cable doesn't. It stays slack. Something wrong with the actuator on top of the fork.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • May have a break-in period

The lockout doesn’t work

The fork looks nice, but the lock out doesn’t work. In fact, no matter what position the preload setting is, it doesn’t make any difference in the shock absorption force at all. In addition, there are lots of scratches in the steering post, I suspect I may receive a used one.

Pros
  • Rugged, matte black finish looks sharp and intimidating on the bike
Cons
  • Unreliable on rocky surfaces

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Phenomenal fork for the price.

So far it has been a great upgrade from the original Suntour fork. It has taken 2 lbs off the weight of the bike. I do not see a real difference in the rebound adjust. I bought it to upgrade the bike to disc brakes so I also bought the Bucklos BC5 wheel set. Very nice looking on this old Specialized Hardrock.

Pros
  • The most important is the lightweight
Cons
  • May require additional parts for proper installation

Not 120mm of travel

The fork is advertised as 120 mm travel. That is 5he distance from the fork crown to the slider. The slider will not actually move rhat far. The travel is actually 100 mm.Other than that the forks work well. Maybe a bit too much stiction on small bumps.

Pros
  • No noticeable flex in the structure, making it sturdy and dependable
Cons
  • May require customized tuning for individual riders
