Good set but check the chainline

The supplied chainring must have some offset, my chainline was too wide and required 4mm spacers which resulted in me buying longer chainring bolts and nuts to correct to squeeze it properly. It's great now with these mods but might be my bike considering I upgraded to 1x7.

  • Hands free

Know the distance between your sprockets - very important

This is a good quality product but it didn't fit me. The chainring was 1" from the center of my cassette so be sure to measure. This has led to an extreme chain angle, which in turn leads to shifting problems. The seller immediately refunded my money. If you can get it to work I think it's a quality product (if a bit heavy) for $$$$.

3 short rides and crank removed

I purchased this product to convert a 3X8 setup to a 1X11 setup on my mountain bike. I rode a total of 15 miles in mild conditions. Today after a ride I noticed that the pedal moves strangely and no longer stays in the crank. It pulls out of the crank, indicating that it has stripped the threads. I wanted this product but the durability is ridiculous.

Cheap quality connecting rod

Good connecting rod with an asterisk. I haven't seen anyone specify the length of carriage spindle required for this. The bike I installed it on had a bottom bracket with a 112mm spindle. It was too long (see the chain in picture 1). I had to place the sprocket in the crank to get the chain line correct (see pic #2). I think the correct spindle length would be around 107mm or so. Use with 10 speed chain. Everything runs smoothly, refreshes when crap hits the fan.

Strong twists! cycling

Got these to replace the OEM 52T cranks that came with my e-bike, the left crank was always worn out and I really wanted to ride a Sram Dub Fat 5 but I'm missing A few mmm, I'll have them until my next bike arrives and I can adapt my current one to the SRAM set. At the moment they feel solid and have noticed a noticeable reduction in weight, and I love the variety of interchangeable sprockets in larger or smaller sizes for different applications. The chain included in the kit looks very strong…

Great crank at a great price!

The crank on this bike had an integrated sprocket (30T) and being a hardtail mountain bike I had to change the gearing for my gravel bike conversion. So I bought this set of cranks as a spare. After having to cut my old crank off (it got stuck and my local shop broke 2 pullers trying to pull it off) I was finally able to install this as well as the 40 tooth chainring. As of 6/29/21 I've put 43 miles on the crank with no issues! The weight is also a very nice plus considering my old crankset was

Decent budget upgrade

Anyway it's really good. This is a fantastic and inexpensive way to try out an oval chainring and experiment a bit with your bike. However, there were some problems with the installation. The crank is too far out compared to my stock sprocket and shifts alignment so I had to mount the ring on the opposite side of the groove. It's not designed for that, but I don't think it would pose a problem for basic trail riding. The other issue was that I had to pair it with a chain tensioner to keep the…
