Autumn Red Caron Simply Soft Yarn Solids (3-Pack) H97003-9730 Review

I have knitted many things with Caron Simply Soft yarn. They are soft but quality may vary depending on the color chosen. I usually keep a small pair of scissors on hand when working with this brand to remove the "clumps" of pile that are twisted in the yarn. Not so much with this color, but with green. This particular color is NOT the rich cranberry red with a blue base shown in the photo but more of a rusty brown with a yellow base, a disappointment. Not red at all, but brown. I had to throw…

What can I say? This yarn is really soft. It's great for hats and scarves, and who knows what else? That's all I did with it. The color is very beautiful and feels like a cloud of softness. I highly recommend this yarn!

I've been using this yarn for many years. I recently bought a more expensive brand to give as a wedding gift. What a HUGE difference in quality. The expensive yarn had many random knots and fuzzy defects in each skein. I've never had problems like this with Caron Simply Soft.

I'm new to crocheting which means I'm short of a lot of yarn. This yarn is very soft and doesn't let my fingers "burn the yarn" like similarly priced yarns. These skeins are huge, each over 300 yards long, making them a steal. Too thick for me, I'm learning I like sporty yarn with a very small hook, but I love using it.
