Almost useless when wet.

The tape is really good quality and fits the paddle well, but when wet it's pretty much useless. I followed the directions and rinsed off the tape etc after applying it but it was still very slippery after getting wet.

  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Safety

Better grip but not enough

Not as grippy as I had hoped, in fact the result is only 15% better grip on the blades than the blade shank itself. When properly wrapped the edges can act as drag ribs , when the hand slides over the shaft. Just think about it carefully. You can't unroll and try again, it's too late, the material will stick to it!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Negative impression

The expectation was justified!: Sport

the tape is excellent. Basically it's been running for 2 months. This doesn't increase the diameter of the shaft too much and helps to find my hands quickly. The only complaint is that I wish I could have seen a bit more so I didn't skimp on the crowd on each page. 1 crack so far but it hasn't opened more than the first time.

Great for kayak paddles

So it was surprisingly hard to find a foil for my kayak paddles. There are many foam flip flops out there but I don't like them because they are too small and don't stay in place. So I tried that and found it easy to wrap both sides of the paddle in key areas where I hold the paddle. It is easy to wrap and feels good in the hand. I would recommend 2 wheels if you want good paddle coverage.

  • This is amazing

Didn't help with the clutch

I ordered the black tape and stuck it according to the Burnwater video on YouTube to fit the clutch. I followed the instructions exactly and was looking forward to getting in the water for my next workout. To my disappointment, the tape didn't stick at all. Other rowers were also surprised by the lack of grip and tried to offer advice on how to make it stickier. I'm at a loss as to what the problem is, maybe I just have a dirty role. Maybe I'll try a different brand.

  • Good product for its price

Happy kayaker. - Skateboarding

I bought it after reading many reviews. Based on the length comments I bought 2 rolls, one for each end of the blade. Installation was easy and straightforward. There is a good video on You Tube. As for the length of each roll, I was impressed. With a 1/2" wide overlap, I was able to cover a section over 12" wide twice! I wanted this as I have big hands and need a thicker grip. I've used it on 4 saltwater hikes. Very satisfied. It remains sticky but does not attract sand or other abrasives. I…

Short lived best in sports

If you are using it for a kayak paddle you will need two wheels - the wheels need to be bigger/longer. It's not durable - I first used it on my sea kayak paddle (rolling and paddling exercise). There was a very small hole in the handle - possibly when I was moving the paddle in or out of the machine (without rough handling). After a few days on the river, the hole steadily increased - see photo. I then took it off - it's better to row without a handle with a hole. Also, creases formed on both…
