Another thing you didn't know you needed until you got it.

I was perfectly happy with my racing simulator setup, then someone suggested I try one of these for the next level of immersion. I looked at a few cheaper alternatives but liked how this mounts and how easy it is to connect to the console. When it first hit I literally laughed out loud. This is amazing stuff! It does require some tweaking to get the settings you want, but that's pretty much no problem. Out of curiosity, after a few rounds, I installed the FPS Battlefield game. Wow, if you think

Works well with Pre-Sub Out.

This back 2 does the job perfectly. Has plenty of power but I find it works better if you plug it into the sub out of a home theater receiver rather than through other automatic connections because you will find the butt kicker itself gets hot too quickly, overheating and not don't work around the clock. I'm sure it's a safety feature for protection, which is good, but like I said, just plug it into the pre-out on your audio receiver. When connecting the cable from the subwoofer to the back of…

Buy an amp fan

Seriously, buy a fan for your amp. One of my amps overheated and exploded, luckily it was replaced under warranty. After this happened I started looking closely and noticed that the amps get very hot. I bought some cheap 4 inch USB fans and they work great. I got my hands on the amps after a racing session and they are no longer hot. Now they've withstood a year of constant abuse, even in games like Dirt Rally 2 where they vibrate non-stop. I run them with the Sim Commander software and love…

Amplifier defective

What I didn't like was the amp, after I connected the PS 3 to the amp and flipped the power switch on the back of the amp when pressed the red power light came on. Front power button on electric bang with sparks and plumes of smoke flying out of vents. Check the fuse, it is blown, replace the fuse, press the volume down button several times, which can only be determined by trial and error, whether the volume increases or decreases, but after repeatedly pressing the volume down button and…

Easy to install and ready to use for flight sims

I play DCS flight sims, especially the F-14 module which has some awesome afterburner power effects. I really like the added immersion from this device. There is additional software which certainly helps, especially in racing sims, but I can adjust the treble and bass cutoff switches and volume to what I find powerful now after turning on the burner and it's an amazing feeling . A little practice isn't a lot, but you need to find the right settings for your situation. In the F-14 I now "feel"…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I love him and hate him at the same time. Turns off often.

Buttkickers add a whole new level of audio enjoyment. I mainly use my buttkicker for music, not games. In fact, one of the reasons I hate this product is that it can't handle racing games. The little butt kicker heats up and switches off after 15 minutes. At medium volume, it can hardly cope with music, but still breaks off after about 15 minutes. It can reproduce very, very low frequencies. In general, subwoofers that can handle frequencies below 20 Hz are considered expensive. I like to play…

  • Love it so far

  • So far so good

Works well but overpriced and has limited use

If you are looking for a turnkey post office chair solution then this could be it. However, if you don't have a standing chair and want to hook up some speaker wire and drive in some screws, I'd save money and look elsewhere. I bought it for my sim rig and it works quite well for that purpose. . For now, I'm letting a simple tone through. iRacing probably has the best direct audio effects. You feel the road surface, engine speeds, gear changes, curbs, etc. Other sims like Assetto Corsa, Project
