broke quickly: keycaps

ours broke after a month and a half despite glue and tape for reinforcement. Good thing they cost $10 versus $350 for 2 keys which we paid after trying this.

Pros
  • good product for the price
Cons
  • mostly ok, but...

Not suitable for interior

I needed this because my old cover broke the screw and cracked. I couldn't seal this properly so I had to use my only spare key and make this new mess a backup. It's not worth it.

Pros
  • Little competitor
Cons
  • Expensive

bad landing; but then it was cheap

It didn't fit my 2009 Pilot perfectly. The included screw goes in deep enough to hold it together (for now), but the "guts" of the electronics are too thick for the sides to fully engage, leaving a gap at the edges. This may take a while with tape along the edge of the crack so I think I can get it working for the money it's worth.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost OK

Went like clockwork.

I had two broken keys for one of my cars. My daughter broke both. I think she's still a bit rude as I've never broken the keys on my 9 year old Honda. I used a different key system to replace it last time. It was a shell that requires you to get the key from the dealer, which ends up costing you extra money. It was way cheaper and worked like a charm. He is strong and strong. I can not distinguish from new.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Tight fit but that's what you need.

I was concerned after reading some of the comments about this so tight fit that it can't be done right but it fit great. You can be sure that the original key fob assembly was also securely mounted. You'll have to take your time and be sure to get things in the same position and orientation as the original, but in the end everything will fit together cleanly and solidly. Perfect fit for my 2010 Honda Accord key. I don't see any reason to overpay for replacing the case of another key fob.

**UPDATE 11/11/20** Great product if you didn't receive a defective one.

Key fobs didn't even last a year. Both are broken and pieces of plastic have fallen out in pieces rendering the keyrings unusable. Pay because it's cheap Chinese junk. Not sure if they have a guarantee or not but lesson learned. If you just want a replacement key fob that will last a few months, this might be for you. However, if you plan to run your car longer, you should consider another product. One of the key fobs was broken and would not close. It's a cheap product, but if you buy a good…

Sturdy and a perfect fit

This key case saved me a lot of money. My key's plastic cover was torn, but everything else was fine. I just unscrewed the old case, took out the little inner plastic box and key blade, and it fits perfectly into the new case, which actually seems sturdier than the original. bit too complex. To insert the key blade into the new housing, locate the grooves on the sides of the plastic blade housing and insert them into the corresponding slots in the housing mouth. Then, to join the two halves…

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Almost identical to the original key case

Three days later I am delighted with this replacement case for my 2012 Accord key. After reading reviews and looking at photos of this and other brands of repair cases it seemed like a good choice - a competitive price (at least for a pair), a solid looking key ring and a recessed panic button. The kit contains four case halves, two small plastic parts, two screws and a small screwdriver, all packed in small zip-lock bags. Although no instructions were provided, swapping out the old for the new
