🚴 BW Bicycles Replacement Seatpost: Sizes for Mountain, Road, and Hybrid Bikes Review

Bought this to replace a worn out single bolt micro-adjustable seatpost that was tipping the saddle while riding - very annoying! This thing uses two screws to hold the seat in place and it doesn't come off.

This product could have gotten 5 stars except that the short length of 2 screws does not allow enough adjustment range. I was hoping for exactly this additional range, but did not find it. Finding the right screws to replace the ones included in the kit will not be easy.

It is very difficult to put all the individual parts together and align them when assembling, if you have mechanical ability this is not a problem but if not it will be difficult be to assemble it. The main issue with this seatpost is that the front bolt is too close to the shaft itself and almost impossible to tighten unless you have an Allen key. In the 3rd photo you can see how the hex wrench rubbed against the frame when tightening the screw.

Very happy with this product at this price. I recently bought a Giant Roam Disc 3 and the seatpost that came with it only had one bolt to hold the saddle in place. I'm a 6ft 3,200lb guy and every pair rides, the bolt loosens and the seat raises which isn't ideal for riding unless you like it. So I picked up this post with two bolts and drove about 50 miles with no problems. $20 for peace of mind is money well spent.

Just what I need for my commuter bike. Trade in a stolen bike for a less desirable theft target. I've had an expensive Thompson seatpost on a missing bike and so far it's been working just as well. The 2-bolt micro-adjust clamp is the only way I've found to get fine adjustment that will stand up to bumps in the road. The clamps are molded, not machined by Thompson, so they might not be as strong, but then again, if someone else rides MY bike, they might as well be running a cheap seatpost.
