Make sure you have the right version of the library

I thought it was broken. It turns out that the IRRemote.h library has just received a new version of version 2.8.1. This version broke it. So I reverted to version 2.8.0 and now it works fine. I'm giving 3 stars because a company selling a product like this needs access to this information for their customers so they don't struggle with their products. .

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • can corrupt

The remote control sucks

It took me too long to realize that the remote control sucks. No signal was sent (or generated) on my 6 keys! For a while I thought it was my code or something else I'm doing wrong, but then I found out about the serial monitor (in the IDE) as well as the activity indicator on the IR receiver. With these things, it was easy to see that the remote itself was junk. I figured out that I can use ANY IR remote and how to get the serial monitor to show the (hexadecimal) ID of each button, independent

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad

Wrong element, incompatible receiver with IRremote library.

The remote control I received differs from the pictures. Also, the receiver is not compatible with Arduino's IRremote library, making it useless for any Arduino project. avoid it

Pros
  • I like it so much
Cons
  • I'm annoyed

The remote was junk in single board computers

Only half the buttons on the remote worked. Also, I've never managed to decode it consistently. Although maybe it's just my fault.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Works great. suitable for computers and accessories

I used this to test an Arduino based IR receiver. Works as expected, LED showing "Activity" helps a lot. The 3 pins on the sensor were misaligned for my needs (breadboard use), I had to take them out and replace them with a direct dial.

Pros
  • complete set
Cons
  • vulgarity

Outstanding value for money for computers and accessories

Outstanding value for money If value (V) = function (F) / price (P), then it's an excellent value for money because the price is very low and what you get is very functional. V=F/P gives me great value! This works with the IRRemote library. Search Google IRRemote for examples of using the code.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Almost everything included

The material is very cheap plastic.

The remote control itself is fine, it worked well. Although the remote seemed very cheap, the top of the remote started to fall apart. I had to use super glue to hold them together.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Functionality

Works as it should. Happy with purchase

Works great! I bought similar remotes from another seller that looked like this but didn't work as well as this one. Happy with this remote control. Good key presses (they register easily without a hard press). I bought this for an Arduino remote control project and it worked great. Bonus, it came with the battery installed.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Negative is present
