C T Johnson RH5 XL Hitch Lock Review

After purchasing a new HD truck I found that my old clutch pin would not fit into the new 2.5" Inch receiver fitted. Problem solved by purchasing this pin. Feels very durable and well made. I like that the end caps that lock the screws on the pin don't just slide around like my last one. You can't guess, whether it's really blocked or not Great product, made right here in the USA!

I have been using one of these hitch locks for several years now! I bought a new larger truck that required me to reconfigure the hitch and use an extra hitch. I bought one that had a push button lock with a key and it barely lasted a year. This lock uses a threaded lock which is much more secure. I recommend this clutch lock instead of the push button clutch lock!

This Hitch Bolt/Lock is unconventional but good quality, US MADE and ideal when you need a longer hitch bolt. For those who don't quite understand what they are buying, when you insert the key, instead of a quarter turn, turn the key to thread the end. Personally, I just twist the whole thing with my left hand while holding the button with my right, and while it's unconventional, it's definitely effective and I think it's pretty powerful.

I received this when upgrading my truck from F150 to F250 and needed a 2 1/2 inch length. I was hoping I could just replace the lock end on my 2" version with a longer 2 1/2" shaft end of this version and still be able to use only one wrench. Yes, that worked great! Obviously their lock ends are more different with shanks Interchangeable length which is very useful Great product!

Perfect fit for 2011-2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD. I have previously purchased another padlock which was too long and blocked access to the security chains. Not this castle. Perfect for this truck. Don't look for the best. If you have this truck, you can't go wrong with this one. Some people don't like turning the key to take the end off. I agree, so I leave the key in the lock and turn the other end. Same result. Much easier. Done and done.

I bought this for my 2007 Toyota Tundra Class IV hitch. It looks like the metal on the Tundra hitches is a bit thicker than mine. had trouble finding a good fitting towbar lock. This lock meets the requirements. It looks high quality and works great. Not mentioned in reviews so far, but this lock works by turning a key and the key acts as a lever to unscrew the end of the lock. The key may have gotten stuck in the assembly a bit, but never so far that I was disappointed. I've also never worried
