🔍 Optimized FRAM Extra Guard Air Filter, CA9401 for Chrysler, Dodge and Ram Vehicles Review

Now I come to the air filter for my truck. The quality is unparalleled and I have upgraded all my vehicles to FRAM filters.

The air filter is very well made. I bought my truck used and the dealer installed a very thoughtful aftermarket air filter. This should be sufficient for the entire service interval.

I just bought a new filter and it is different from the previous one (same model from FRAM). Can't tell if it's different.

Perfect for my 2015 Ram 1500 5.8L Hemi. If an oil changer tells you that you need new oil, don't thank them. Buy it here for half price and get involved in just two minutes!

Bought 2-1 for my 2010 Dodge Ram Bighorn with 4WD cab and 1 for my 2016 RAM 1500 Bighorn with 4WD cab. It's a maximum of two minutes of work if you level everything before trying to pin it down (see another review saying they don't fit).

This Fram filter was compared next to a genuine Mopar filter that I removed from my 2018 Ram 1500 5.7L. They look the same as if they were made in the same factory in Mexico. Absolutely no difference, size or anything other than half the Mopar price.

It took me a while to install this. I trusted the seller that it would fit. It does not fit. Even the dealer couldn't pick it up. As I worked in good faith for a while and went to the dealer, the return period has already expired. It's like burning a $20 bill. Not satisfied with either the product or the seller. Beware.

I don't know how FRAM stays in business. This filter will NOT fit my 2016 Ram 1500 truck. It was like it was made too thick and you could NOT snap the lid clips back into place. I checked and checked if it was something I was doing. Spent an hour on a 5 minute job and couldn't accommodate it. Went and bought another type of filter, took about 3 minutes and it fit perfectly.
