Compatible with Apple Dual-Link DVI to Mini DisplayPort Adapter

As another reviewer noted, this adapter works flawlessly with the Apple Dual-Link DVI to Mini DisplayPort Adapter! This enabled me to connect a 30" Apple Cinema Display to one of the DisplayPort slots on my graphics card via an adapter and use it as intended. Full resolution (2560x1600) is because it is the DisplayPort version. This CableMatters adapter corresponds to DisplayPort 1.4 The adapter that didn't work was only up to 1.2.)

Success! Works with 27 " Apple Cinema Display connected to Windows 10 Desktop

Works as expected Computer Cable Adapter

Perfect. I have to swap 3 laptops between 2 monitors from time to time and 2 of these laptops only have DP out or mini DP/HDMI out. One of these monitors is an auto-sensing input, the other is a hard-coded input. Swapping video cables and fiddling with awkward places to plug in cables when I switch devices is very frustrating. This adapter has effectively eliminated the hassle of installing cables, so I just need to slip it between an existing cable and a moved laptop to simplify some hardware…

Used it to connect a Thunderbolt display to my PC!

. Plugged it in and it works on my PC in full resolution with no issues. I'm using an EVGA 1080 graphics card, which might help, but I assume any newer graphics card will be able to run it. After switching on, it initially had a lower resolution, but switched to 2560x1440 after automatic driver updates. I also found that you can bypass the way you install Bootcamp on a PC to control the brightness. It hurts a little, but once it's done it doesn't make much of a difference.

As another reviewer noted, this adapter works properly with the Apple Dual-Link DVI to Mini DisplayPort Adapter! So I was able to connect a 30" Apple Cinema Display via adapters to one of the DisplayPort slots on my graphics card and use it at full resolution (2560x1600). Displayport adapters.
