I hate to say this thing is garbage.

I hate to say this but this thing is garbage. I had it around the 30 day mark when it stopped working out of nowhere. Didn't know about sloppiness. And no information about possible guarantees. Extremely upset

Poor technique from the start

read reviews. Bought. lasted maybe a week. The wires on the Thunderbolt port adapter (after carefully disassembling the entire assembly) were soldered to just a few microwires. Pulling an HDMI cable connected to this adapter would actually disable any of these adapters (regardless of the manufacturer, of which there are many) within minutes. The weak link is the thin cable wires between HDMI and Thunderbolt. Both connectors must be mounted in a single solid housing to withstand the forces…

Surface Pro 4 and Samsung UHD TV

Works like I hoped. I recently bought a Surface Pro 4 for my work PC and occasionally work from home. I have a 40 inch Samsung 4K UHD TV that I use as a home monitor. The monitor only has HDMI inputs and the SP4 only has a miniI Displayport output. This adapter worked to give me 4K, 3840 x 2160, 30p output on my TV, again as I was hoping for. Make sure the product is equipped with a shielded cable and gold mini DP connector.

I ordered this product about a month ago, and the first product received only worked for a few days, and even then it was difficult to connect. I returned it for a refund and left a 1 star rating. Cablecreation emailed me asking if I would like to accept a replacement from them and I said yes.
