Works as advertised

When I ordered I was concerned a driver would be required to work with my MacBook Pro so removed it from the box and it worked without any additional software. Highly recommended, especially at the current sale price.

Entry-level multi-gigabyte experience

There is little information in the package. So it took me a while to figure out that I need to manually install the driver for 2.5G speed. It's also worth trying to upgrade 1G ports at this price point too.

Slow Start - Computers and Accessories

Installed the latest drivers from the Realtek website. Got it connected to my 10GB port/switch. The download speed is okay, but the average download speed is 400Mbps. My downloads on a 1GB port are faster on a 1Gbps connection. Attaining speeds above the standard 1 Gbps (at best) is simply impossible. Connected with CAT6 cable.

  • Cool Product
