gets the job done β€” cables and accessories

Bought for R710 and no it was the wrong cable (right corner turned the wrong way round) but it worked, just for gaming messed around with the cable routing and I had plenty of free time for that. Note that these cables are good quality and properly connected so you don't have to worry about them going out of spec and throwing up your server codes like the last set I grabbed which was 8TB of an almost full ZFS arrays killed.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

looks too short BUT.

I ordered this with an LSI 9260 Megaraid board as part of an experiment. When I opened the cable I was worried it was too short for my r710 servers. I thought I just ordered one, it's ok. Well I ran a cable through the tunnel and put it all together and there's more left than I thought. As for the controller, well that's a different review. Best of all, the back doesn't have any awkward curves that strain the port. it looks like a nice clean install of DELL. I'll post a picture after the second

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required

Yes, they fit 1U R610!

Contrary to several other reviews I've seen here, I wanted to be upfront and say that these cables are indeed perfect for the 1U R610 server. The connectors that attach to the backplane are exactly the same height as the original cables and the perfect length to plug my new H700 RAID into the onboard slot where the original PERC 6/i was. Of course, since the rear connectors are the same height as the original cables, there is no clearance issue for the server's top cover. For those who have…

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
