DeoxIT Connector and Contact Solutions Review

A small collection of DeoxIT Compounds to experiment with different ways to clean contacts, improve contacts and lubricate contacts. The included small applicators will give you an idea of what type of applicators are right for you. When our large 1 ounce bottle of DeoxIT was thrown away for better contact during a field repair we got this kit instead which protects the small bottles better than we could protect the 1 ounce bottle. I can't think of any cons for this product, two thumbs up!

Nov 2017 I used it on my phone's battery, left the gold on overnight and now the battery is working great. If you are new to Deoxit or a consumer this kit is a great way to get started as unless you are into electrical maintenance you probably won't use much. Use D100 for general cleaning, Gold for gold-plated contacts, Shield to protect non-gold-plated contacts from further oxidation, and Fader for carbon-based controls such as sliders or carbon pots, or connectors on plastic multi-plugs such as those found in cell phones. CAIG Labs Cleaners and Lubricants are very high quality products. I have used DeoxIT Cleaner/Conditioner to treat the gold contacts on my 3 month old stereo and was amazed at the amount of dirt and oxidation removed with this product. After cleaning, I applied a small amount of DeoxIT Conditioner/Contact Enhancer to the contacts to protect them from further oxidation.
