Who has enough vise?

These are good, I'm tempted to order a few more. Everything you want in a vise, and I use them all the time at the various "shops" I have.

Pros
  • The best in their niche
Cons
  • So-so

Would buy again: Needle nose pliers

Only time will tell the durability of these locking pliers but so far so good. High quality materials and design. Solid feeling. They do what they have to do. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Rather flimsy Chinese.

I like this design for opening a vise, but this company didn't design the handle and the product looks Chinese, cheap and flimsy. Wouldn't buy again. I'm just holding them because I like how the grip relaxes.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

How can I work with it?

I bought these because they were specifically mentioned in the sliding glass door lock replacement guide. It took a few random tries, a pinched finger, and a tutorial on You Tube to figure out how it works. Finally I gave in and hired a technician to change the lock; He didn't use any vise.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Updates

Good pliers but definitely vice grip style not vice grips

These pliers are functional. They are comfortable and fit well. But they look a bit thin. If you fix the object with the tips of the jaws and apply a small amount of torque (which is not uncommon for pliers), the jaws of the pliers move sideways until their tips barely touch. They work well but not for complex tasks.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good

good grip Best in pliers

These pliers have strong teeth and hold up very well. Unlike my old vise which is difficult to unlock, it has a release lever that extends beyond the handle making it easier to unlock. Haven't had a chance to test them out but despite being made in China they look like a good buy. I won't apologize for the comment about China because I spent good money on my fair share of Chinese trash. it's not garbage.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Good set for the money

I've used a lot of pliers and vices in my life. What I've found is that each has its own "specialty" or specific use of where they work best. This kit was purchased for a specific application where a small nut needs to be held and fully tightened in a relatively small area. They do exactly what I expected them to do. So with that in mind, I'm giving the product 5 stars. I will say that both pairs are about 1/4 inch wide at the nose. So if you need them for small spaces, you need a place to…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
