Caliper Punch

A tool for knocking out the stop pins on a Brembo caliper without slipping or damaging the caliper paint. Fits perfectly and makes the job much easier and faster.

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • I'm Concerned

Mandatory!: Brake system

I have been using this tool to change the pads on my charger for 22 years. This tool made the job so much easier and got it right. I'm used to using a small hole punch or hex key. This little guy is going to be added to my tool arsenal and is 100% worth the money.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Almost never

Tool is great for the job expensive indeed for a machined bolt

Works great on my front Brembo GT caliper for knocking out pins. Stays on the pins without slipping and launches them through the slot. A bit pricey for a punch which is basically a machined socket head cap screw.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Some difficulty

Needed to replace the Brembo brake pads

I used this to change the pads on my Brembo brakes. This product is an absolute must if you don't want to chip or scratch the powder coating on your Brembo calipers. I would recommend this to anyone who has a Brembo equipped car and will be doing the brake work themselves.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Dear

Fits snugly on the caliper pins

This pin sits snugly on the caliper pin head making it fairly easy to knock the pins out without slipping or smearing the paint on the caliper. If you have a car with expensive Brembo brakes and you work on the car yourself, this is a nice little specialty tool to make your brake job easier.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Expensive but cheaper than repainting my Brembos

Like many others I wasn't too impressed when I first saw the tool given the price I paid. However, it did a great job replacing the brake pads on a 2017 Chevy SS. It's the perfect size and has a notch on the tip that perfectly fits the caliper pin. I'll just treat the cost of this tool as insurance against paint damage on my calipers. That makes it a lot more profitable. Also, I've seen some reviewers complain about die bending. I'm not sure how that could have happened but it definitely wasn't

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great

Useful. Expensive: Spare Parts

That's quite a high price for this little piece of metal. I have a set of rotary hammers that I used to knock pins out of the various Brembo calipers that we have on our cars. This one is much better because of the cupped ends. Unlike dies, this one won't slide off the page or chip paint. This is a very useful tool, wish it was longer. Or maybe two sizes. Helps to be longer to allow the pin to be pushed all the way through the caliper. Although a short length is good if you're driving the pin…

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost OK

Expensive but worth it!

This pin removal tool is great, but ONLY if you use it a certain way. I buy a second one. If this is your first time changing Brembo brake pads, listen carefully before you ruin the paint like I did. These pins are mostly recorded there. My buddy advised me to use a PB blaster, but put it on and wait a few days before trying to smash the pins out. If you use the narrow end of the tool on a pen and it gets stuck, you'll end up blowing it up like I did, rendering it useless. So, here I am trying…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
