Lives up to its name

I've used it for a few rounds and found it really safe! It's hard to do long trap shots in 58 degrees, but I knew that beforehand. Great golf club - will definitely stay in your bag.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not just a wedge for clay

Very good racquet. I'm still getting used to it, but so far it seems more forgiving on bunker shots. I also use it as a wedge when I need loft near the green. I get clean even with tight lies. For both sand and wedges, it's good to have in my bag. I highly recommend it.

  • Few competitors

You need this in your pocket

My wedges are 6 years old and I'm having trouble getting out of the sand. 10 indices. I hit fairways from 10 feet or more with this club. Size by address gives you confidence. Every trap I've fallen into, I've climbed out of. The last throw of the day was a deep bunker and I had a sand save. Amazing club.

  • Absolutely amazing!

Good wedge! for golf

This is a 2018 version of an old Ben Hogan 'Sure Out' wedge from a few years ago. The rounded outsole is designed to make it easier to get the ball out of sand bunkers without digging in. Despite the commercials you see on TV, 50 years of golf has taught me that there are NO miracle clubs. proper technique and a certain level of skill. But this wedge makes it easier to throw a difficult shot. That's why I have it in my pocket!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Working speed

Love this wedge that goes with golf clubs

Love this wedge. I bought a 58 degree wedge. I needed a sand wedge to complete my recent purchase of a Callaway iron which was a 4 PW set. Having Callaway irons, I researched and reviewed several Callaway wedges online. After deciding, I watched some do's and don'ts videos from the club's developer and Hank Haney. Worked like a charm but the wedges aren't my problem. Used it for golf straight out of the box. It got me off the sand over the green side bunker for par putts and worked well for…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Played a round after a short practice session in our wet sand practice pit. These shots drive me nuts, especially when it only takes a short throw to the nearby pin. My traditional wedge either goes too far or gets stuck and the ball won't come out. With this head style, a very shallow putta backswing is perfect and never gets stuck. It's 64 degrees, so around the green it's about 30 yards of full travel. Ideal for throwing a trap out of a rough or fairway. I'm getting rid of my 3rd iron and…
