Excellent apple corer!: Corer

I really like this apple corer and I'm glad I have it! I was particularly drawn to this grain because it is a Calphalon brand and I am in love with many of their other products. This drill is very durable, easy to use and sharp. It definitely takes the time it takes me to cut an apple with a knife, which is why I bought it in the first place. 100% recommended!

Quality cutter as advertised

I make dessert art and my latest creation is caramel cheesecake, candied apple slices so I have to cut about 10 apples a day. This slicer definitely does the job. I never put it in the dishwasher and hand dry it right after washing. It didn't bother me. A very slight annoyance I've experienced is that sometimes the core of the apple gets stuck after cutting the apple, but I'm using YUGE mutant apples so that might have something to do with it. .I love this product. So comfortable.

Works well. Looks and feels high quality, but not sharp.

Ergonomic but not very sharp. I found that when the apple is big, I have to make a lot of effort. Works well on small apples, but still doesn't cut easily. Maybe I had too high expectations because of the brand. I have two young children and I always cut apples for them and thought it would make my life easier, but it's just a regular, slightly better solution. I'd love to find a sharper one if available. Maybe my sharp twin knife is the best way to cut an apple.

Requires a lot of strength and leverage to operate

Honestly not very comfortable for me. I'm 4ft 11" which means I'm not very strong and don't have a lot of leverage and I can rarely get this to cut an apple, it's VERY difficult. A paring knife is much easier. It's also useless for honey apples - doesn't work for large apples. I was going to donate it but my friend said he loves it (he's strong and 6ft 1in) so we kept him. Although it's useless to me. It will also probably be unusable for children or the elderly. So! I've used other cutters and

Very easy to use for kitchen and dining room

I confess I've never seen the point of buying apple slices. However, my son prefers sliced apples and he eats enough of them, so I decided to give it a try. After using it, I understood everything. It's so easy to use! This is a great option for people who want to chop apples quickly, want to chop a lot of apples, or those who are nervous or bad with knives (my elderly mom finds it much easier to use than trying to cut with a knife) . Knife). This particular model appears to be of very good…

One of the best but still not perfect

Bought under warranty. I cut a lot of apples so I wanted something reliable. Cheap apple slicers that I go through once a year. While I think it will have durability. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because it doesn't exactly cut it. I think because the grips are taller you don't feel off center and once it starts clipping it's harder to get it back on track. But it cuts through the apple, which is good for baking. Sometimes it's nice to have leftovers at the bottom (for lunch boxes), but…

Sharp and durable fruit and vegetable tool Tool

It has real "blades" on the bottom, unlike my old one which didn't have the beveled cutting edges at all. Every apple corer just cuts straight like the apple they're working on, but I discovered something today: Usually the top of the apple is a little more symmetrical than the bottom. So, place the apple upside down on a cutting board and cut off the top (this is now the "bottom" of the apple). I get much better results this way. Also, since they generally don't cut through the skin all the…

Almost perfect but flawed

I was hoping this device would make it easy to slice and core apples. Unfortunately, 2 small flaws greatly reduce its usefulness. There are already enough test reports that highlight the positive aspects of this product, so I will limit myself to these disadvantages: 1. The apple slices still stick together at the bottom after using the device. While the round coring blade extends slightly below the bottom of the tool and provides a clean cut through the core, the cutting blades are set…

Great purchase for years to come!

After breaking several apple slicers in a year, my husband and I decided on this one. We've had it for a few months now and it still looks and works as good as the first time. I bake at home and make a lot of apple pies so this is used a lot. Excellent purchase! Update: It's September 28th, 2016 and this apple slice is still in perfect condition! We use it several times a week. Update: Today is August 22nd, 2017 and the apple slicer still works! It is used almost every day. Updated March 27…
