Didn't fit as advertised

Said to fit 300EX, doesn't. Not the same Kehin carburetor. It has no choke mechanism and the intake side of the carburetor is 2mm smaller in diameter than the factory carburetor. Looks good in the pictures but when you open the box a different story happens. Look elsewhere for a 300EX carburetor, it will not fit your application. hp For Sale - 1 non-300EX carburetor, cheap.

  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Unbelievable! - Parts

I ordered this with some skepticism as it was so cheap but reviews were generally good so thought it might be worth a try for the price. Everything fitted perfectly and when I started my '95 Honda TRX300FW it ran better than ever. I always had to use the choke when starting. Not now, and he's purring like a kitten. Unbelievable. I'm considering buying another one just to have on hand if it ever needs to be restored. Buy boldly!

It worked again for carburetors

Having owned a small motor shop for over 20 years I have always been skeptical of "cheap Chinese" clones. This particular carburetor was purchased for my personal 1998 Honda TRX300 which I only use to run my sprayer. The fit was perfect and the quad still runs like new. Thumbs up. BTW, this carburetor is for the later TRX 300. If you have an 88-82 model, you just need to order a choke cable that fits the 93-00 model. it works properly on your ATV. 88-92 models use a "short" choke piston, while…

3 month old carb fits in fuel system

Got this carb. Late May, installed mid-June. It worked without any problems until my moose hunt at the end of August. I was coming back from a hunt, all I had to do was climb 3 1/2 miles steeply to get onto a gravel road and my Honda 300 stalled and wouldn't start. I ended up driving 3 1/2 miles to my truck, pulled it down and then pushed it back into my Wheeler trailer. Since then I've been trying to start my ATV to no avail. Today (September 16th, a month later) I removed it and replaced it…

Although this carburetor looked great, it did not fit my choke cable

This carburetor looked great but did not fit my choke cable. I think Honda changed the throttle body design around 1993. Older carburetors use a smaller choke. I tried to get it working but couldn't. Shame as the rest of the carb looked like it would fill a ticket! Then on top of that I was told the restocking fee would be $4.62 but it ended up being about 3 times more. So overall it was a very disappointing experience for me. Oh, and yes, the carburetor I wanted to replace is original, I know…

1996 Honda Foutrax 300 - Perfect

I bought this for my TRX300. I thought I was going to rebuild my carburetor, but by the time I priced the rebuild kit and new filler piston I was down to $38. I was able to buy this carburetor for 60 shipping. It was a direct exchange. As other people have said you should buy a new longer fuel line as the orientation of the fuel inlet makes it difficult to reuse the old fuel line. I also replaced the bleed lines (this one is triple bled) with some new, longer ones to keep them in place. works…

Will not fit 1986 Four Trax. but it doesn't claim to be either

It didn't fit my car perfectly but it doesn't say it fits a 1986 model. I have no complaints about the product. After some modifications the quad works like new again. I'm only writing this review to let others know what needed to be done to make it work on a 1986 Fourtrax. First, the fuel line is on the opposite side of the OEM. So I had to replace the OEM. No problem as the OEM was old and fragile anyway. The choke size varied, but it comes with its own choke. So I just replaced the factory…

Fits 1990 Honda TRX300 with no modifications

I bought this carburetor with a little caveat about the $34 cost but the reviews made me add it to the cart to lay. The carb was sent to my garage 4 days later without a prime. My 1990 Honda TRX300 was new to me last fall and it never ran or ran very well. I fixed what I could, but not the bones. I was looking to rebuild the carb but like others who have commented it was the same price as if I had just bought a new carb. Installation took 30 minutes with basic tools. Sockets for 8, 10 and 12mm,
