Camco 44323 Thumb Operated Offset Review

I bought these new and sealed in the original packaging and I was unable to unscrew the locking ring from the cylinder. I noticed that the threads that were made on it had large furrows. Revain refunded my money immediately!

Used to replace very old key locks. Please note that there are 2 lengths (1/2" and 3/4"). I needed both for my motorhome. Make sure you check exactly what you need before ordering. I'm not AAAAAA! Easy return and I got what I needed.

although i measured the existing lock on my water cabinet (horse trailer) it turned out that the shorter rod that came with the lock was too long. This new lock is so much nicer than looking for the key when I need to fill the water tank

Built into the door of my RV, worked 2-3 times then hung up. Didn't let me unlock it with my hand. Luckily I was able to carefully use pliers and unlock it. DO NOT buy this crap! Don't make it worse with this cheap piece of junk!

Good product and replacement for our original on the bins in our motorhome. Be careful. The size is easy to measure using one of the originals. But the three "basement" doors are of different thicknesses and need a longer lock. Therefore, check each door for thickness. They will likely be 5/8" and/or 7/8".

The cabinet locks that came with my CO2 laser machine were very cheap. Fragile keys fit either way and will bend if misused. In addition, key locks are completely unnecessary for my use case. I had to file the holes a bit but this is exactly what I needed! I've replaced all 8 of those pesky locks and I feel like I have a new car.

After a month or two it stuck closed. I had a hard time taking it off. Too bad I never bought it. I took it apart thinking maybe it could be fixed. The inside was corroded and not worth fixing as it will just rust and stick again. I bought it to replace the one that had the key because I didn't want to find and use the key every time. I'm so glad I kept the old lock and key. Better a working lock and key than this one.

I bought two, installed one immediately and kept the other for storage. Two months after I installed the first one, it stopped spinning. After disassembling, I found that the ball bearing inside was badly rusted, apparently due to dissimilar metals and water ingress. I oiled the inside of the second one and installed it, I hope it will hold up this time. If you live in a dry climate it will probably work fine, but I wouldn't recommend it in the rainy Northeast. This camlock worked great for what I needed I had a small door on my camper trailer that gave access to an external faucet, fresh water connection, pump switch and black water drain .
