You could pull a trailer with it.

LOL. I should have interpreted the description better. I needed a chain to hang a flower pot. but I'm pretty sure I could use it to tow a trailer or jack up a truck engine.

New security chains for my trailer.

The hooks are equipped with a lock to keep them from falling out on rough roads. I replaced my 1993 pendant chains as they were rusty and had no retainers on the hooks.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Modern

Great chain for the money.

I've been wearing this necklace on a trailer in the rain in Florida for the past few months. So far no corrosion. The hooks have practical spring clips that prevent the hooks from slipping out. I am very satisfied for the price. Please note that this chain is only suitable for small pendants up to 3500 lbs.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Durable: external accessories

I bought this inexpensive chain to replace one I had lost for my wrought iron Dutch Oven tripod. I have no plans to cook anything that will test the 3500lb limit, but it's nice to have this heavy-duty chain as it might prove useful for other purposes. I could cut off one of the springs at the end or attach a springless S hook to the link above for use with a dutch oven.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

It's good for what I need it for.

This chain was just right for my 1500# boat and trailer. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that the hooks are really hard to get into the chain holes in my hitch. The clutch is really strong and if I had to do it again I would go with a bigger chain hoping the hooks would be bigger. It's not really the size of the hook, it's a little spring clip that gets in the way.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Very expensive

Why an even number of links?

High quality material at a very good price. However, it doesn't make sense for a complete safety chain to have an even number of links. Either bolt it to your trailer tongue as one unit (via a link) or like I do, cut it in two to bolt to each side of the tongue. But with an even number of links instead of an odd number, executing one of them means one page is longer than the other! Not very thoughtful design! I have to cut 2 links if I want them to be the same length.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Clarity

Heavy Duty Very Happy

I purchased two sets of chains after a jet ski trailer jumped off my hitch and crashed into the bed of my truck. I used to have old rusty chains on my trailer and thank goodness they held up. But if it had happened again, who knows if they would have survived! So I decided to buy new chains. I bought two sets just to be too careful. They are very heavy. I'm not afraid they won't survive. I like the clasp on the ends and also that clip in the clutch. It appears to be very well made. I hope I…

Good security chain for a heavy trailer

Sturdy - very well made. I bought a model for 3500€. Very satisfied. In response to the concerns expressed about the even number of links, I cut mine off to bolt to the trailer tongue. Since one hole on the tongue is in front of the other, I cut off a link in the chain and ended up with two pieces of chain, one with one more link than the other. But after screwing the longer one to the back hole in the tongue and the shorter one to the front hole, the two pieces of chain extended exactly the…
