I was hoping it would last if I was careful with it. I've used it twice and the side without the lock broke so it can't be used. It would be very easy to break this unit. It is made of lightweight plastic. It would be great if it was steel.

This seems to be a satisfactory and easy to use anti-theft device but it didn't fit my surge protector so I had to return it. If you have a Camco brand surge protector (or a similar design) this is a good choice, but it can still be broken open with bolt cutters as the security element is an open padlock.

The ideal use of van plugs when you need to connect an extension cord to our van. We have a 50A cord and can plug in our extension cord and converter cords and secure the connectors from tampering. Padlock added for security but can also be used without. It's nice to have a connection for the weather that keeps the forks off the ground safely.

First of all it doesn't matter because I bought it for non-security reasons, but my kit didn't include a lock or key as stated in the description. This is a thin piece of plastic ball that is easy to open. Great for keeping plugs on the ground, but also for warning thieves of a bright yellow lightbulb plugged into some expensive cords!

Bought and left unused for 3 months due to COVID-19 and left in garage. I opened the box and found that the ball the clip is attached to was broken and now I can't return it because the time has run out. I think you get what you get if you go for the cheapest product. I do not recommend this product. Not because mine broke, but because of the cheap stuff it's made of.

My expectations were low when I ordered this product, but I had to find something to prevent my little one from leaving our trailer. It served its purpose (a few months) until it became brittle and the section where you latch it broke off cleanly. It didn't stick together after that, so we threw it away. IMO save your money and find/try another product I will.

I bought this device to protect the power cable from earth and waterproof it. Advertised as a protective device. The hinge is plastic and broke after a few uses. I use a zip tie to secure this side of the ball. The ball is made of plastic and can be smashed with an ax or hammer with two powerful hits. It does not offer waterproofing due to the vents, but protects the connection from contact with the ground.

Does not protect against theft. Let's face it, it's plastic. However, that should make it difficult enough to encourage a would-be thief to switch to an RV whose surge protector doesn't have protection. My first order came with two identical pages and had to be returned. The replacement came quickly and luckily I was in no hurry to get it. The included lock is very light.
