favorable equipment: plugs, inlets and sockets

Good design. However, the screws for attaching the cable to the bottom of the socket turned out to be cheap junk. The screw heads fell off on first use rendering them unusable until I bought some replacement screws at my local hardware store. No need to buy new hardware for a new outlet.

Great value for plugs, sockets and sockets

I had a 6/4 SO cable that only needed two ends to become a 50 foot RV extension. This and the accompanying helper were perfect for the task. It's not industrial strength or anything, but cost-wise it was spot on. You can pay five or six times more for a much higher quality tip that will take a lot more abuse and probably last forever, but I don't think I'll ever get past three of those.

RV Products on Plugs, Sockets & Sockets

I have dealt with electrical issues and sockets and have also made RV breakout cables. Instructions it will be fairly waterproof and also seal the spot where Esso number six enters the mail and ladies bins before attaching a rubber band and then wrapping 33 with old fashioned duck seal. Don't laugh, it still works

Buyer Warning. Not waterproof and not waterproof!

Second bought. Will replace both after being told they are neither waterproof nor waterproof. Camco immediately blamed my almost complete collapse on the water, most likely. Sounds like an easy way to avoid warranty claims. The ship was completely sealed and protected, but it's possible rain got in, but I have my doubts. I will no longer use these. fire hazard. Luckily the switch worked.

Guaranteed to melt - power and electricity

This cable is easy to install and has a comfortable grip. Quick fix for those looking for a short term fix or not near rated power usage. Over the years I've bought about 10 of these for my various trailers and displays at fairs and festivals. I can tell you all die the same way by melting. You will smell it, it will start to smolder and then it will start to sparkle. BE CAREFUL. For safety reasons, replace at first sign of melting. I haven't found a high-quality 50 ampere motorhome socket yet.

Cameo EV Charging Helper

I bought an 18" Cameo dogbone adapter (TT-30 male to TT-50 female) with the same connector on one end that I cut off and put through this one replaced device. I had to do this to make an RV park power cord adapter with internal AC cord connectors suitable for connecting an EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment). The EVSE I use runs on 125 or 250VAC up to 50A. However, due to the lack of an available TT-50 outlet at the RV park, I wanted a backup option to plug my EVSE into a TT-30 outlet. In…

Rated current is good for Power & Electrical

I had an unnamed outlet for about a year. I noticed it was in bad shape with moving cords and such. The plug it connected to was fine, cleaned to look like new. One of the contacts in the socket was practically burned, and loss of contact or fire was only a matter of time. I looked back on my order for these and it was about half the cost of the Camco unit. I ordered a Camco unit (thank god for the first class delivery!) and was pleased to see that the copper contacts are much heavier than the…

Good for replacing a broken outlet or making your own power strip

Because not all RV outlets can be found at a regular campground, I made my own power strips using these Camco outlets. To plug the house in I had a 30Amp 240 outlet in the garage. Although my RV has a 50A plug it never exceeded the rating of the outlet which was protected by a 30A switch. By purchasing enough 10/4 rubberized wire at a large hardware store, I was able to assemble a power cord that would run from a garage outlet to a bus. Just recently, I had to park my bus at the construction…

Quality Product - Power and Electrical

I bought the male and female versions of this to serve as a disconnect switch for my removable car battery (this is a project car). I review male and female together and plan to publish the same review for both subjects. They do their job well. They are rated for 50A and have four pins each. I connected the "+" and "-" wires to the two pins with a fairly heavy short jumper to get to the 2nd blade. Two heavy-duty blades per cable provide excellent current handling. install these. The two screws…
