Does exactly what they are supposed to do

We have an old motorhome with a tent that is not automatic so we parked it with our hands down. When it got a little windy the edges of the canopy would flap violently, which scared me that one day it would break loose and fly away. With her installation, I feel a lot more confident that he's not going anywhere. It keeps them in place, almost completely reducing wobble and making them more durable in the wind.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Pleasantly surprised

We were a bit skeptical as they arrived with dry patches of grass with Velcro. We assumed they were returned. However, we finally have the opportunity to use them. When we got to our campsite yesterday we installed them and last night a storm broke out. They worked great. We didn't have to go out into the rain to lower the awning like we used to. Very happy with this product. They are easy to assemble and look durable.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Almost never

WE WORK GREAT! fits RV parts and accessories

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered them so I was pleasantly surprised when they actually worked! My RV is a 1995 27ft trailer with an original canopy that I wanted to protect from the wind. We've had a lot of wind since I installed these deflectors and they're holding up! Super easy to install! It rained here last week in the evening. The next day my tent was hanging down from the rain it had survived. So impressed! Highly recommended!

If your awning is "perfect " then they will work, but.

So one side fits perfectly as shown. But the other one had a problem as the velcro was not long enough. If my scales were "perfect" I'm sure they would both fit, but one side is farther from the arm than the other side. This requires an additional 4" strap. For the second one I had to make my own. If your awning is 4" or more from your hand. Don't mess with these straps. The left photo is good, the right one is mine.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Updates

Short straps are good for the outside

I just got a deflapper max I found them very easy to install and seem to be holding up pretty well. I live on the Oregon coast where the Pacific wind blows year-round. The only criticism is that the straps are quite short. My tent was too far from my rafters. I had to go to the hardware store and buy longer Velcro straps. I called Campco and the girl I spoke to acted like she didn't know anything about the product. She didn't know what I was talking about and couldn't help me. Very disappointed

great product . .

The cap grip is great, really holds the edge of the cap without leaving marks and is wide so there is no edge tension in a small spot. Prevents the tent from swinging in strong winds. My issue, as mentioned in another post, is the length of the straps. Luckily I had a 1" wide, 8" long Velcro strap that I attached to a strap so it was long enough for the job. After a few days, my almost new awning snapped back to its original shape, allowing me to remove the added velcro and just use the strapsโ€ฆ

Length of straps

It arrived with one of the baffles (bolt and concealed nut were cross threaded or not properly threaded). In general I liked it even before I used it on my tent. Then I had to go for a walk and my tent stayed open for many days in any wind. The deflector held up well. Love how well it held the edge of the canopy and how wide it was. I'm concerned about the length of the straps - I've ordered a new awning to replace the old one and I think it will be a few inches narrower overall. I don't thinkโ€ฆ

IF YOU HAVE A CAR WITH A TENT YES YOU NEED TWO SETS

They place them a third of the way from the camper or the start of the carport. and the other laid the second third of the way. You make sure the awning taunts all four evenly AND YOU WILL FIND. YOU CAN LIVE IN YOUR TENT FOR 9 MONTHS WITHOUT REMOVING THE TENT IN A WIND AREA! Every mobile home has its own needs. Don't want the RV rocking or the suit shaking in the wind? buy you. Don't like the sound the canopy makes in the wind? Buy Them Don't you like spending hundreds on a new awning becauseโ€ฆ
