Works great at the beach! We used it in Corpus Christi, Texas last week. I would give it 5 out of 5 but I think it would help to have some reinforced stakes on the corners to secure it to the ground. I just used regular tent pegs and stuck them right into the material. Seems to work well but may not be a good long-term solution.

We've used it on the beach a few times. This is much more convenient than laying out towels and cleaning up in one go. I have used it when camping outside of our tent and it offered added convenience by reducing the amount of dirt being sifted inside. Despite a full day of rain, it only needed a quick flush and was ready to pack again.

I bought this blanket when it was on sale and it has been a hit in our home. I have young children and we use it for picnics in the park and take it to the beach. That's nice, because dirt and sand slide off immediately. I've read that some people have trouble folding the rug, but my husband had no problems.
