Running or Riding: Outdoors

I've used it for both running and riding and it works great. I didn't have to take the kitchen sink with me, so I'm happy with the small storage space. The bite valve works well, as does the on/off valve next to it. The backpack looks sturdy and I expect it to last a long time. After 10 hours of use I was satisfied.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good mostly but...

Convenient for long distance runs

More convenient than my previous 70 ounce water bag. After filling, turn it upside down to suck out the air to avoid sloshing during use. The shoulder straps are wide and ventilated for more comfort. 70 ounces of water is enough for a half marathon in hot Arizona, and of course you can fill up less for a shorter run or a cooler place to carry less weight.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • High price

Not in the trash! best in Hydration Packs

The pack is great, I used it in a spartan beast and it has held up well. I had quick access to snacks and gels. The hose that comes with it is flimsy and I would suggest getting a case for it and updating the latch on the cap's mouthpiece. I think if Camelbak incorporated silicone strips into the belt it would hold up better and not ride up when running. This change and replacement of the hose makes this a 5 star product.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Useless Features

. of Camelbak products over the years - this one is great for longer races

I've been a fan of Camelbak products for years - this one is great for longer races! The only thing I would like to improve is that the company makes this item more suitable for women as the chest area seems to be designed for people with larger stature, but you can adjust it quite neatly! Great strong zippers and an easy to use bin make this a breeze!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

I'm 5'4 " and I really like this CamelBak but it's too light.

I'm 5ft 4" and I really like this CamelBak but it's a little too big/long for me. I've trimmed the straps to the minimum length and still want them 1-2" shorter. I immediately notice - they could be smaller but I can handle them. Other than that it works great and is great comfortable, I also like the extra storage space.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • There are new competitors

The top pocket is useless when the hydration bladder is full

First I bought this backpack because of the main center pocket which can be used for minimal day hikes to store a small amount of food and some snacks . When I finally got the pack and tried it on, the main center pocket is utterly useless once the hydration bladder is full. Two small sandwiches will not fit, but just a small bottle, for example. There are better backpacks for less money! The backpack is strong and durable, it will last a long time.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • Needs a power outlet

Convenient and easy access to water and supplies

I was concerned it would be impractical due to the large side straps, but found it even more comfortable than other hydrators with small side straps (the ones around the waist). ). Pockets on these side straps give you easy access to your supplements while you run. Didn't notice it in the photos before purchase, but the chest strap and water hose clamp can be moved up/down over the shoulder straps. very easy. I'm not sure I've seen a package that allows this (or maybe they all do and I never…

Good water cooler for the money

Bought this for family hikes, mountain biking and long summer runs. So far this is a good little hydration pack. I have enough water in my bladder for several hours of activity. There is enough storage space for your cell phone, keys, wallet and small items. Side pockets offer space for several energy bars or gel packs. I just recently ordered a separate Camelback bottle to use in my front pockets as it gets hotter here and my long runs get longer. I wish it had straps to store my hiking poles…

Great drinking gear for a half day hike

Great design and light weight. Holds plenty of water and is surprisingly cool when you start out with cold water and ice. It's comfortable and adjustable, but the waist strap can be tight or unsuitable for people with a large belly, but without a waist strap, it holds up well. The storage space is enough for a few small things for a half-day hike. If you need more than just an energy bar, look elsewhere for a hydration device. The hydration bladder was easy to fill and load into a backpack…
