Great oven, poor quality control

I bought this oven for an 8 day offline trip. Before the trip, I tested the cooker several times at home and was thrilled. The design and durability of the stove seemed excellent. Even in strong winds, the flame remained burning and heated the water in a reasonable time. I really like how the handle rotates on top and locks everything in the oven. On the third day of my trip the flame went out while I was using it. I took apart the fuel injector to see what is stopping the gases and found metal

Excellent weight and value for money

This stove fits perfectly in a 1 1/2 liter pot and the overall weight is very good. The stove lights easily and burns very hot in a small space, allowing the pan flanges to conduct that heat into the pan (rather than wasting it). The specs say it heats 2 cups of water in 2 minutes. The foam around the pot and lid retains heat well. Holding the pan by the foam rubber is very convenient, although the handle works well too. You can open the flame wide or turn it down to a gentle simmer with good…

Great jet boil alternative, although not a space issue

I would go with the Stryker MS200. Uses both propane and isobutane in the same body. This gives you a little more flexibility. I use it for backpacking and car camping and it hasn't let me down. I carry propane/large isocyanate in my car and use 4oz/8oz. Canister of isobutane on foot. 4 oz. fit snugly in the cup with all the components inside. I've been using this in harsh environments for just under a year, Ft. Polk, LA and I can tell you it's awesome. I can be flexible to meet any fuel needs…

Smaller than the Jetboil but works just as well

So first off, this is my first experience with this type of gear. I've included some pictures to explain how it works and how it differs from other Camp Chef models and other brands. The only significant difference is the size. The Jetboil Zip (pictured) has a volume of 0.8 liters while the MS200 has 1.3 liters. For individual tourists, that makes a huge difference. The capacity of the MS200 sits between the Jetboil Flash (1 liter) and Sumo (1.8 liter) ovens, but I couldn't compare the overall…
