Strong and reliable.

Very reliable. Works better than POP rivet guns at a fraction of the cost. I switched to them for my machine shop as we use a thousand rivets every day. This is the best. I've tried others on Revain but none were as good as this one.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Disappears

Nice little tool for regular pop rivets.

I bought this tool to remove about 3000 1/8 size steel rivets. I currently have around 1000 jobs and this tool is a game changer. I really didn't want to stock up on more tools at this point, but the time saving makes it a worthwhile purchase.

Best for limited (non-commercial) use

This is a previous generation riveter, slightly smaller than the current one. Works well but requires care during use. A drop of oil at the air intake and every 20 or 30 rivets in continuous use, depending on the size of the rivet, another. Consider a built-in oil nozzle if you intend to use it frequently. Also recommend a swivel air connector to avoid sharp bends in the air hose.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

The Milwaukee Cordless Rivet is all about this tool

This tool is heavy and bulky and cannot be used where a hand held riveting tool can. Hooking it up to air isn't practical unless you're in an open store all day. I put rivets on a daily basis, but they are in tighter workspaces. That didn't work for me. I ended up buying a Milwaukee Cordless Rivet Tool and it's the best in every category (except price). It's lighter and much more comfortable, which I think is well worth it. I've tried going the cheap route, but in the end the Milwaukee cordless

Poor quality disposable product, suitable for single use.

I don't normally write reviews but I have to say this thing sucks. I used it on a project in early 2019, probably around 40 or 50 small 3/16" aluminum rivets, where it worked well. I oiled it well. Last night I tried using it for the first time since and the butt doesn't fire, the air just comes out at the overflow near your finger when you pull the trigger. So now it's a paperweight. I'm pretty sure the problem is the seal for the air piston as that's the only thing that really can't do this…
