Seems to fit very similarly to a standard lock, went in the same place with a few modifications to the door handle, but it wasn't a lock fault as it was worked on by dummies in the past. This handle doesn't quite fit my Amerimax screen door as the base is a bit wider than my original handle so I had to use some shims to make it sit flat when it overlaps part of the raised one frame on the lattice door. The screen door would not close tightly as my door frame has a solid piece of metal to latch the screen door in place of using a latch like this set. After installation, be sure to ask someone in the house to open the door if you cannot open it from the outside. The original latch broke and I was trapped in my camper van lol. I had to reach behind the door, camera in hand, to take a picture of the latch to see if I could somehow open it without damaging the door. I saw the screws that held the latch to the door.
