These are tough little ball heads. I use them with Camvate super clamps to attach flashlights for macro shooting or with the probe itself to keep the terrestrial TV antenna in the perfect spot, a regular third hand positioner. They're not heavy, but great for small jobs. I have 8 or 9 of these.

I'm from the Longview film club and we use them for various small lighting needs. We have small RGB lighting servers that we use to separate colors between layers. in our scenes.
