I really wanted this balm. The smell is amazing and really smells like real essential oils. Unfortunately, when wearing it at the end of the day, I smell a slight but unpleasant odor, typical of oils that deteriorate through oxidation. There is no smell of it either in the jar or when it is applied. Usually around 7-8 hours after heavy use. I don't get that with Honest Amish Beard Balm or BA Beard Balm. I really wanted to like it as the balm scent was blended very well. Unfortunately abandoned.

The product itself deserves 5 stars, so I rate it. It is essentially a beard oil that is solid at room temperature but melts easily on hands and spreads like a liquid oil. It absorbs quickly, helps to soften and style hair (although there's no real hold), and I've had no issues with skin irritation or a heavy/greasy feeling within minutes of application. WARNING: If you live in a hot location you should consider purchasing this product from a location where it is sold. The balm melted at some point during delivery.
