We have read all the reviews. And so we got banned. We chose RED dye with soy wax 444. First batch of 5 candles. We used a few pinches of RED. And got PINK. beautiful pink. and pink (with the taste of apple pie). Interesting. The second set of 5 we put 1/4 tsp. RED and got BRIGHT PINK!. Now we have light pink and hot pink apple pie scented candles. Interesting. but NOT what we wanted and expected.! Very disappointing.

As said, LONG little can be achieved. It takes a little experimentation to come up with different colors, but so far I like it. My only concern is that you won't get a consistent coloring between batches unless you measure accurately and use such a small amount that this can be difficult. I'll make a large batch later and use a tiny spoon to try and control the measurement and hopefully it works. It costs money if you make a lot of candles - they last forever!

I've had to make black beeswax candles and hate messing around with the typical colored chips (usually colored wax and mixing the wax can go wrong). I couldn't find my own black pigment and didn't need other colors so I went with the RBY set. Real RBY pigments turn black when mixed and it's awesome! I mixed equal parts - literally a pinch of each, just a little far - of each and got a rich black. I used yellow beeswax as a base but I tried my white beeswax and it worked really well. I will buy…
