Bought this item as a Christmas present for my daughter. When I opened the box and assembled the parts, I found that the bottom of the large mold didn't match the cylinder. I spent about 30 minutes sanding and now at least the primer goes on but it doesn't fit very well. I am concerned that the hot wax could leak out with use and that stress cracks could form in the base. I sprayed some PAM on the molds and the candles slid out easily. The first batch of candles was a disaster because I used my own wicks and the wax came out of the bottom hole. On my second batch I used the wicks that came with the molds and it worked much better with a bit of a mess! Make sure you only use thick wicks and set the molds filled with wax on something disposable as the wax will spill out from the bottom.
