Not durable: kitchen and dining room

Purchased in January 2018. After a year and a half of ordinary home cooking, all handles began to crack. For the price, I really expected a longer lifespan. They weren't insanely expensive, but they definitely weren't cheap. I've had $80 Walmart sets that have held up better than these. Strongly disappointed.

You need this knife set!

I was looking for CUTCO knives when I saw these... These knives are fantastic. Be very careful when handling the case... The only problem I had was; The knives are so sharp I literally slipped one through my finger and had to have stitches. But this is just a photo of how sharp and durable these knives are. The quality is impeccable and it looks beautiful in the kitchen. I'm African American so for the holidays we cut up a lot of yams, turnips and the like... These knives go straight through…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • I don't mind, everything is fine

Set of new knives Sharp

Sharp beautiful knife set. This knife set replaces our old Wüstof Grand Prix set that we had for over 17 years. It's definitely time to replace the old set (even with regular sharpening - wet stone grinding + buffing). The new knives are razor sharp and easy to prepare. c, easy to wash and store. (I still keep old knives for when we chop garlic, onions, etc.) No comments or opinions on the wear, discoloration, or rust on the knives. Ask me again in more than 3 years. We tend to wash and dry our

Chinese Made Waste Cutlery & Knife Accessories

Bought for my wife for Christmas. They looked and felt very good, but after about 3 months the handles started to break. I used scissors on a chicken and it deformed! I have a pair of German made scissors that I have been using for 4 years now and they glide easily over cartilage and joints. I am very dissatisfied with this set. They cost a lot of money and didn't even survive the first year. The only good thing about it was the blade lock. Sturdy and beautifully finished. In general, don't buy

Poor Quality: Knife Sets

Bought a set of these knives and was looking forward to using them. At first they held up well, but after 3 months one of the knives broke. A few days later another one broke. A few days later it started to rust. I contacted customer service who explained that this was not part of normal wear and tear and could not do anything about it. What is normal wear and tear when cooking? A stolen knife must not stab. The quality of these knives is terrible, there are many other companies that offer…

Disgusting. Whatever metal they are made of - this one.

Own restaurants in Chicago and Los Angeles. Bought these knives based on reviews and NSF status. In addition, they should be made of stainless steel. They are rusty as pictured. The house is brand new. The kitchen is all stainless steel and I have rust in my sinks and on my granite countertops from leaving those knives. Disgusting. No matter what metal they're made of, it's not stainless steel, and we all pay for stainless steel. You can stamp anything on the side of the knife but if you are…

Before you buy this, you should know this.

Product: Cangshan S1 Series 1022599 Set of 17 Forged German Steel Knife Blocks Walnut Ever since we bought them in 2017 (now 2020) I felt like it was a good buy BUT lately my opinion is back to "fur". Problem: Handles are meant to crack on the ones we use the most. Check out my photos. I'm not sure what will happen once they're fully cracked, but I probably will within the next year or so Find out. We hand wash them and dry them right away (no dishwasher.) I'm writing this out of frustration…
