Very useful tool used daily by my team

MAAS makes it very easy to deploy and manage a bunch of servers. It is very well documented, and has a very active community. It's not perfect for some use cases. For example, it's not possible to directly configure networking. It's also not possible to add a virtual interface to an already deployed node. MAAS is very well documented, and you'll be able to figure it out. It's also very easy to deploy a bunch of servers, and manage them. We deploy an array of servers to our customers, and MAAS…

Pros
  • Documentation
  • Easy deployment with Juju
  • No need in dedicated hardware or software

Great resource and toolset available through maasserver

I like that it's easy to use, as well as having an intuitive interface which makes troubleshooting problems much easier than other similar products in the market place. It can be slow at times when you have more nodes/clusters up (or maybe just one node), but this isn't really noticeable enough to make me dislike using Maas - unless of course there are other issues such as performance or reliability with my cluster! We've been running our own private cloud infrastructure for some time now…

Pros
  • Easy setup / simple user experience

Best of breed for monitoring and troubleshooting

The best thing about this product, it's free! You can't beat that price in any way or form. It makes you feel like an IT Pro when running everything from one place (it should be said). I wish there were more plugins to use with other cloud providers such as AWS. For example - could not find much support using GCP/GKE etc. If anyone would have issues please contact their customer service team but they are always helpful at least via chat if nothing else which helps immensely. Providing…

Pros
  • Free
  • Easy setup process for newbies
  • Powerful enough software suite.
  • Ability run your own servers instead buying them off Amazon Marketplace
Cons
  • Good but not great

Easy and reliable tool for managing your cloud services

I like that it's easy to setup, manage, scale with minimal effort. It can be customized by any user/admin without much difficulty (in fact you don't need any coding skills). The UI could use some improvement but nothing major. Make sure you have good internet connectivity otherwise this software will not work well in most cases. We are solving our infrastructure problems of having different servers or VMs running all day long as we needed more capacity during peak hours. This was solved using…

Pros
  • You just add them manually instead of going through lengthy process involving configuring network settings every time before installing your machine again!! Plus also very simple management interface i'm an admin so managing stuffs wasn' difficult even though my computer knowledge isn’t great
Cons
  • It is hard to say

Decent solution if your automation requirements aren't complex

Easy to use, easy setup of hardware devices with images available in all versions (RHEL7/8). It's not so intuitive as it could be but you can always ask questions or search online how things should work - there are many people who will help! Also I like that they have released their code which allows other companies to expand this product even more easily than just using canonical image would allow them too. We wanted automatic deployment without writing scripts ourselves. And also we needed…

Pros
  • Simple interface
  • Full automation capabilities via scripting languages
  • Good documentation about installation process from scratch up through provisioned nodes.
  • Great support team at canoncial if anything goes wrong during implementation
Cons
  • Almost never

A great tool for automating deployments

The software works well, however it can be buggy at times and I have experienced this with both 12.04 LTS aswell as 14.04LTS - sometimes when you reboot or power up devices (iLO's) they need to re-provision themselves after initial configuration which makes life less than perfect! This usually happens in more complex environments where multiple servers are involved but also occurs if there has been some kind of an update that changes something fundamental about how things work internally rather

Pros
  • MAAS is very easy to use and deploy and we have had good experience with it
Cons
  • Can be buggy at times and requires a lot of effort to setup initially to get it working correctly at times
