Description of Capri Tools 15/16-Inch Universal Impact πŸ”§ Socket: Top-Quality 1/2-Inch Drive, 6-Point, SAE Solution

The universal swivel impact socket has a 30 degree working angle and rotates 360 degrees, letting you reach and apply torque power to fasteners even in tight spots. Premium Chrome Molybdenum steel tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process to withstand more torque from power tools. Expertly coated with manganese phosphate, the preferred coating in military and aerospace, which offers superior protection and corrosion resistance compared to black oxide coating on other impact sockets. 6-point WaveDrive design grips fasteners more tightly than traditional design, preventing fastener rounding and giving you more leverage. Size: 15/16 in.

Not for intensive use

Suitable for short-term use. I'm a full to heavy user. And after about an hour it stopped spinning. Tried to lubricate did not help.

Pros
  • Handheld
Cons
  • No power

Durable and well designed.

A 5/8" universal impact driver bit was used to access several tricky head bolts on a Land Rover after going through many sockets. This jack is well constructed, has a wide range of rotation and will not snag when rotated at a sharp angle.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Rugged and withstands harsh environments

I've used this to thread over fifty 3/8 x lag screws up to 7" long and installed several sister beams under the outhouse. Many of them had to be screwed in at an odd angle. This socket is very durable and will not slip or break. I highly recommend it for its toughness. Very well done. I've never used anything other than a straight clutch and was concerned that this universal joint design might break at an angle under high torque, but that's not a problem.

Pros
  • Heads and socket sets
Cons
  • Long delivery
