Description of Capri Tools CP10101 C101 Hammer: A Powerful and Versatile Hand Tool for All Your Hammering Needs

Keep this dead blow hammer in your arsenal for those times you need strike objects without marring them. Absorbs shock from impact, reduces rebound, and maximizes force due to steel shot filled canisters. Advanced Polyurethane (PU) material will not mar surfaces or absorb liquids. Round grip for a better and more ergonomic feel. Handle contains reinforced steel, adding strength and safety by stopping the hammer from breaking upon impact.

Works perfectly! for hammers recoil hammers

I bought £12 and next to it is a port freight for £4 for comparison. Great for knocking DDG out of the bunker. I've only used it a couple of times so this isn't a long term review. For what I use it for and where I'm going I want the grip to be about half the size. But I probably could have spent more time looking here but couldn't turn down this price.

This hammer works when all else fails.

We did our best to remove this tire. After a day of frustration I went to Amazon and found and ordered this tool. Three hard hits with this hammer and the wheel made a soft crack, and on the next hit the tire came off completely. The benefit of this tool is that it has all the weight to get the job done without scratching the surface.

Mallet Movement and Justice.

I have just purchased the 3lb and 4lb versions of this hammerless hammer for use in my hobby woodworking workshop. These are durable hammers that should last for many decades if you're not trying to hammer nails with them. The grip is *light* but slippery, but I think the deep ribs on the grip counteract that. The 4 pound version is a beast and its power should not be shown disrespectfully to the object you encounter. My only complaint is that there is a distinct vertical seam on either side of

quality freewheel hammer

I purchased this 2 pound freewheel hammer for use on a variety of woodworking and assembly projects. I used to rely on a basic rubber mallet and think this hammer is a good upgrade. A direct impact significantly reduces the "bounce" and directs the energy precisely to the workpiece. Polyurethane is strong but soft enough not to damage the work piece. In hindsight, 2 pounds is a bit too heavy for light assembly tasks. So this is a quality hammerless hammer with an excellent warranty. Bonus…

High quality for dead-blow hammers

A previous reviewer complained about small holes in the rubber. It's a dead sledgehammer, not a work of art, who cares, you hardly see them! As for the hammer, it's great with a lead shot in the middle, it transfers all the energy to the hit object with almost no rebound, it's almost like an instant double hit! However, I am a machinist and use it to force workpieces into vise jaws so they sit flat on the parallels. It works, but even with the whopping 4 pounds I have, you have to hit really…

Pros
  • Absorbs blows, reduces recoil and increases power with canisters filled with steel shot
Cons
  • Boring packaging
