It's good! fits internal components

Capture card performs as advertised and works well! Unfortunately my Sony a37 doesn't have a HDMI only output so I'll have to buy another camera, but the capture card works great! Having a quality zoom meeting camera for school will be very helpful once I have the equipment I need.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Out of style

So far, so good! UPDATED!

I bought this as an alternative to using the Canon EOS webcam software which still has some bugs. I've used a combination of this and a third party program to use my Canon M50 as a webcam for zooming and streaming and have never had a problem with too many conflicting software components until recently. At first I was afraid to buy because of the low price. However, I risked $20, hooked up a micro-HDMI to my mirrorless camera, and took a chance. I was positively surprised. A few tips: *…

  • Happy so far

Is working? And that's all

Tried on i5-3210M. No glitch, but the specs say it won't. But it worked on i5-3570 and everything is fine. However, it doesn't work on any computer I've tried with a Canon Vixia HF M40 or any other older Canon HDMI camcorder, 1080. I know the M40 does 1080 at 30 fps and 60 fps because it's captured by my Magewell PRO SDI looks great. But this product's image is only 720 30 fps and doesn't look as good as Magewell, not even close. I tried this on my broadcast machine (i7-8700k) using Wirecast…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

DOES NOT output 4K signal for internal components

Product DOES NOT output 4K signal and simply does NOT process 4K signal from DSLR over 4K cable. Wrong description. Coming back because I need a 4k output product. Otherwise it works great at lower resolutions with very low latency with a 4k cable. Again, NOT 4K output. Works great in 1080p

Pros
  • Ideal for small homes
Cons
  • Modern

Great inexpensive alternative!

I was looking for Elgato's Camlink alternative (which is quite expensive) to use my DSLR as a webcam for my Twitch streams. This USB capture card is amazing! No need to download or install drivers, nothing else is required, just an HDMI cable, camera and USB capture card! Installation took less than 2 minutes and everything was up and running! If you are looking for a capture card, rest assured that this is the best and most affordable option! I'm looking forward to adding a few more!

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Pretty good

NOT 4k - 1024x768 - Computers and Accessories

Want to save some money with Elgato Cam Link? Don't worry, I've tried and tested it for you. I ran ffmpeg on both. This outputs 1024x768. Elgato Cam Link outputs 3840 x 2160 as expected. This article is false advertising by definition. At the time of writing, it is clearly stated that both the input and output of the device are 4k. Lie. Don't waste your time if the 4k part is important to you. If you are just looking for a cheap HDMI USB interface then go ahead.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Something's Wrong
