Yes, terrible. in car radios

I agree with other people's reviews, the device is junk. It worked for about 15 seconds, then the touchscreen froze forever, unable to restart, etc. Ironically, there's a reset hole on the back, but there's no switch inside. Zero support is also available - the QR code for checking the current firmware was even broken. Shame as I was in awe of this screen and didn't usually pay much attention to the reviews - now I wish I didn't.

Installation trick for CD slot

Just received; too early for a full assessment. I'm glad I found a way to mount it low and without suction cups or tape. Good, but a bad mic is frustrating and needs improvement.

I just finished a cross country trip using my device to better navigate, communicate and have fun in my van. The images and touchscreen are great and exactly the same as other carplay or stereo devices. but the microphone for voice messages and conversations is very poor. I can't use voicemail for texting at all. He never hears me properly, no matter how slowly or clearly you speak. It's very frustrating and that's why I end up using others to send messages or just don't.

Exactly what I wanted

I've been looking for a long time for a way to add CarPlay to my 2015 Jeep Cherokee and this thing worked. It works perfectly. I can't recommend it highly enough. I've seen reviews where the sound doesn't work but I have to assume they didn't get the wireless version or read the connection instructions because it works even better than I thought it would. it would be. New firmware fixes some bugs - Test

LATEST UPDATE: After updating the firmware I am happy with this device and keep it to myself. There are still some bugs in the way calls are handled. For example, if you're on the phone and then get into a car, it's hard to tell where your call was going and how to get the sound through the car. This could be because the machine is fighting with Intellidash to connect, and this is a situation my machine was never good at before Intellidash, but is much clumsy now. INTELLIDASH + For the Win

It's only the first day but I like it so far. My car is 13 years old but in excellent condition so there is no point in buying something newer. I've been waiting for what feels like an eternity for an aftermarket CarPlay device. I give 4 out of 5 because of all the cables: power, aux cable and phone charger. Really works as advertised. The CarPlay experience is good enough and the screen/GUI is responsive. The supplied accessories also work as intended. The mount is solid (although it wobbles a bit at maximum extension, so keep it medium-short), and the self-adhesive glass plate for the dash mount is solid enough.
