Eating Monster Pastel Pencil

I was very impressed with the accuracy and reliability of this machine. Then, after a few weeks of sharpening various pastel pencils, it became less and less. First, it was no longer possible to sharpen a charcoal pencil on it. Then Stabilo Carbothello pencils; then Faber Castell and Derwent pastels. Now I dare not expose anything to its destruction. I bought this sharpener primarily for artist quality colored pencils. After reading the reviews and such, I understand that it's not necessarily meant for wax or oil crayons like that, but I've also read enough reviews to know that people use them that way. From time to time I sharpen graphite pencils to "clean" my sharpening blades. Disappointed with this sharpener

A little disappointed with this sharpener. I use it to sharpen Faber-Castel 9000, Derwent Graphic and Onyx graphite pencils and even Caran d'Ache Grafwood pencils. The amount of exposed graphite around the tips is uneven; long lace on one side, barely open on the other. I couldn't tell any difference in the point setting either: a blunt or fine point setting resulted in the same point. The graphite tip was not smooth, it looked "wavy". The point looked like it had holes or dents if you will…
