This is near my carburetor on my Yamaha alternator. The only difference was that my carburetor had an automatic choke. It took a few minutes, I changed the throttle and was back in business. It took less than 20 minutes from the box to start the generator.

I almost didn't buy it as from the reviews it seemed to have a pretty high failure rate. The huge difference in price from OEM parts convinced me to give it a try. Worked great except for the usual settings. There was no facility information. Interestingly, OEM parts come with a tighter initial setup.

I checked my Rigid 6800 alternator before a snow storm and it won't start. I left treated gas in it for about a year. The spark was good, gas entered the carburetor but did not start. I installed this carburetor in about 5 minutes and it started right away. If you have a Rigid 6800 you can just cut the wires off the solenoid or set them aside. They are not used for this generator.
